How much cardio do you think i can get away with in my lifting routine?

Now I know im bulking as usual when im all well again and id rather leave the cardio out, but unfortunately, I feel like absoloute crap when I gain weight so I think cardio is gonna have to give some way.

I usually do cardio in the mornings on an empty stomach at a rate of 120-130 bpm, for about an hour. Then add about 25 min of cardio at the same heart rate after my daily workout. Using the elliptical and stair master is a nice way to add variety if your one that doesnt like running. Staying in your target heart rate zone on lower intensity cardio ensures your not breaking down your muscle and your targeting fat loss.

by he sounds of it, im guessing your on a cutter right now so that would not work for me.

If i have the energy still to stand up at the end of my sessions, would it do any harm to do 10-15min of cardio at the end of every workout?

No way bro, Adding in low intensity is in no way cutting. Its great for you, and you dont have to worry about catabolism at your fat burning zone. Ive never really had a problem with energy after my workout. Im usually ready to go for more whenever Im done, and i use a modified form of high intensity rest pause training mixed with drop sets and high volume repping. I never cut cardio out of a session, unless its leg day ;) Then i ll go torture my legs on the stair master :)

I think the best way would be to add 15min per day to the end of each of my sessions but then again, whats all this about not doing cardio and weights after one another on the same day all about?

Personly I think cardio should be done dureing the pre seaason and dureing the season. Come time to get cut up for a show I think cardio is a step backward and get's hard as hell towards the show date. Ketogenic diet with lots of anerobics. I am sure you guys have heard of circuit training. Circuit training with not much in the body besides chicken breast and fish oil will blast the fat off. Best of all you will still look hard without needing to use proviron.

THe greats did not do cardio much especialy before a show. They did not even call it cardio back then when they did what they did. They where not anal rententive about fat burning zones and all that crap.

I hour of poseing is harder work then most peoples workouts that alone will burn off the fat! I think trying to use cardio that late inthe game say a month or two out from a big show is more harmful then good. Just because people are narotic about something does not make it right. Howard Huges collected all his urine in jars and saved it does that mean I can be as wealthy and powerful as he was if I hord my urine???? No it does not but you see my point. Seperate science from nurotic body building behavior and look at what the past champs did! Cardio is good in moderation but two months out from a show it is not going to make or break you it is all the stuff you do in the kitchen and in the gym not in the cardio center.

ive havent been able to lift at all due to a torn labrum( shoulder). Iam now medically cleared to train again, so im goin for it. Mymotivation is still good. Any suggestions as far as a start up routine to recoop strength and also lose some lower stomach fat.? thinkin bout a low carb, whole wheat diet, with 4 protein shakes a day
