Did anyone here about the guy who worked for America Online who was giving a professional spammer 100's of thousands of screen names to spam? Both of them got arrested and should get out on bail, but what do you guys think of this?

This was straight off of my company's website this morning.

A software engineer at Time Warner's America Online is under arrest, facing charges of stealing the Internet provider's subscriber list and attempting to send large massive amounts of spam to millions of computer users. Jason Smathers who worked in AOL's Dulles, Virginia, data warehouse, is accused of stealing a list containing 92 million subscriber screen names. Interim U.S. Attorney David Kelley said Smathers, 24, sold the list to another man, Sean Dunaway, who then sold it to two spammers for $52,000. Dunaway was also charged by federal prosecutors in Manhattan. The case, one of the first of its kind, was brought under a recently enacted anti-spam law that bans unsolicited e-mails sent with phony return addresses to sell various items including pornography.

Everyone I know has a cable modem and doesn't use AOL shit, it's way overpriced anyways.
