Anabolic/Androgenic Ratios

So my question is why do some compounds show weak anabolic or androgenic rating but are commonly known for acting anabolic and vice versa despite the rating

Anavar for example
Nandrolone, more androgenic than anabolic?

Here's a decent article on the subject.

Many (most) do find the ratios don't always match the empirical effects. I personally find they match pretty well in effects for me in general. One of the many things that isn't taken into account in the rate/ strength at which certain compounds bind. For example- Deca binds very well to androgen receptors like the prostate but have a score of only 37 compared to test at 100, while tren binds just as well but has a score of 500; Might be why I and many others find relief with deca added to a cycle but prostate and androgenic issues with tren. The common outlier I see is people's response to masteron- many complain of prostate issues and other androgenic sides, I don't find them myself and find tren, test, estrogen far more effecting.

The ratios should be used as a GUIDE
relative to the physiologic effects of testosterone which has an ratio of 100/100.

They must not be used to judge anabolic or androgenic gains per se bc MANY other factors influence SKM hypertrophy and male sexuality respectively.
