“Anabolic Diet” popular on YouTube, your thoughts?

Something that’s taking popularity in the fitness community is something termed as “anabolic food.” Basically channels like Greg Douchette, Rem James, Exercise4CheatMeals etc are becoming known for their low calorie homemade deserts/junk food alternative such as blizzards, pizzas, cookies, brownies and more, all made with lower calorie ingredients.

Would you incorporate these kind of recipes into your diet, especially when cutting? Or would they only be detrimental in that they can cause some people to crave sugary foods even more?

Personally for me I tried it and it just time consuming and costly when it comes to gathering all of the ingredients just for one recipe. I rather just put some shit on the stove and be done with it.

If there’s one valuable thing that I did take away from these guys is, the discovery of lower calorie alternatives to basic staple foods such as bread, yogurt, condiments, and soda.

My usual Sunday cheat day went from 8500 calories of Fast food and ice cream to 4-4500 calories of homemade lean hamburgers drenched in low cal ketchup and syrup WITH the ice cream.

Chemically engineered, synthetic garbage diet!! If it's the one with that Remington James guy then it's absolute SHIT
I can’t understand how he eats that diet on just 2k calories a day. I looked at his day of eating and I’d be starving on that diet even with adderall.

Im sticking to keto style diet 5 days of the week. Can go through each day hardly thinking about food or cravings.

I don’t really know what it is but my thoughts are whatever helps someone be consistent with their allotted caloric intake is fine.
All that matters is protein, calories, and consistency. There’s no reason to do the old school bland foods. I’ve gotten lean on protein shakes, pop tarts, donuts and potato chips. My diet at present moment isn’t particularly clean and it’s definitely not bland.
The only shit diet is the one that isn’t sustainable to the individual.

I can understand it, he is fucking small that's how. Apparently nowadays you can look average and sell your bullshit, lol

Who is Remington James?

I'll cut to the chase for ya.....protien powder and whipped cream for most of the dessert type foods. Fat free cheese and low calorie wraps for most of the other shit.

I agree, I'd rather stick to a real diet and then go off on occasion to eat a real cheat meal

There's nothing wrong with lower calorie alternatives if you want to get/stay lean. Chemically engineered synthetic diet? Give me a fucking break, you blast foreign hormones every single year.

What the fuck is a "real diet"? You consume less energy than your body maintains and you lose fat. That's science. Do you mean you stick to eating bland ass foods then potentially ruin a week's dieting by having a cheat/binge meal? That's cool, if that's your thing. but it's 2021 and definitely NOT the most optimal way to go. Leave all that shit in the 90s.

Idk man it just depends on the person. Some people love “bland foods” or at least are content with eating that way. Others definitely need those low cal alternatives to prevent binging.

He’ll even on my “cheat days” most of my meals are still homemade and lower in cals compared to fast food.
The hamburgers I have on one those days for instance consist of:
100 cal high fiber English muffin instead of regular buns
85 or 90 lean beef
Low cal ketchup
Low cal syrup

I’ll make 10 of those and can only get down 8 before my stomach feels like it’s going to explode. All around 3.5k calories. That’ll be my only meal saved for the night.

A real diet? Hmmm, let's see here....one with foods that come from the ground or an animal rather than powders, whipped cream, and fat free everything full of chemicals and sweeteners. But hey, what do i know, keep worshipping your cokehead looking supercook!!! Hahahaa

100percent. Consistency and what someone can adhere to is all that matters. I eat a ton of processed foods. The only thing I care about is my calories and getting in at least 300grams of protein a day. Recently I’ve been on a spaghetti os and pop tart kick.

I love how the guy frequently flexes up his 13" bicep as he's touting his bullshit recipes, hahahahhaha. BOOM! Don't hurt em hammer!!! Hahahaahhahaha
