Anavar cycle, first experience with AAS

So I am a male human 37 years old and currently at week 4 in an Anavar only cycle, and I wanted to relate my personal experience so far.

height - 6'3"
weight - 181lb

body fat - 15% ?????

Week 1 and week 2 - 15-20mg/day - twice/day

pros - what a fucking blast, massive pumps, stomach fat is noticeably going away, dick is hard.

cons - insomnia and clenching my jaw muscles

At the end of week 2 could no longer tolerate the cons so....

Week 3 - 55 hours off - then 5-10mg/day in the morning

pros - still getting good workouts, went up about 3-4lbs on the scale despite noticeable loss in stomach fat

cons - after 55 hours off, dick went soft, suspected effects of test suppression, got hard again after restarting

Week 4 - 5-10mg/day in the morning

pros - 2 good workouts, jaw clenching went away, sleep is better

cons - I skipped my friday workout because I feel like shit, I am pretty sure I am feeling the effects of suppression

So the reason I picked Anavar was because I believed I could run at a low dose and experience reduced effects of test/estrogen suppression. I believe this might be true for some people but for me this doesn't seem to be working out, I may have already been at a low baseline for testosterone but I never did blood work. I feel so poor now that I would rather discontinue use than feel like this during the rest of an anavar only cycle.

My current course of action will be Dbol at a trt dose of 10mg/day with the anavar at probably 5-10mg/day (i love pills). This probably seems absurdly low to most but I will have room to step it up and achieve my goal of slow steady gains.

Most likely I will run the Dbol for 4-6 weeks then switch to a test base, or stop there and run a pct. My probably obvious reason for not starting with test was a fear of pinning, and a lack of general understanding about how anabolic steroids work.

What I learned: A test base is essential, Dbol can act as a substitute, but can't be run for a long period. I can't sleep for shit on anything more than 10mg anavar taken in the morning. Anavar is probably shutting me down even at low doses. I should have done blood work before starting AAS, I should get bloodwork done at some point during or after my cycle.

This is a personal experience, but maybe it will help others.

What you need to do now is proper pct, with hcg, or go on trt
I think my long term goal is to get to around 12%(or lower?) body fat at 190 - 200lbs, which I think is a reasonable level that I could maintain after doing a pct. (my height is 6'3")

I might be getting close to the age where trt is my best option.

Is hcg the go to for pct now? I already have clomid on hand, should I combine the two together?

Look up power pct, you'll want the hcg in conjunction with nolva and or clomid.

I'm the same height as you. 190-200 12%bf is pretty small
You don't need gear to get there. Just go on trt, put your head down, prioritize food, intense training and sleep. You'll get there easy.

Like evom said just pct don't bother running dbol at a "trt" dose you'll just screw yourself even more.
If your afraid of needles just use 27g .5" can't even really feel them and if your considering trt look into test u for less frequent pinning.

If you want to go on TRT go have your blood work for test done now. That will ensure you come under the ridiculous cutoff of 250.
The actual hrt clinics online do not require that. They'll give you trt even if your levels are 600+. Just don't be dumb and go to your pcp or something like that.

I started 10mg dbol (split 5/5mg) today and I am feeling better 1 hour after my 2nd dose, though I'm sure the cost is going to be even more hpta suppression and a longer recovery. I have tried to find some info on how suppressive dbol is but I can't find much.

I think I could continue this as a maybe 8-12 week cycle with 10mg dbol acting as a test base, and maybe 10mg anavar driving protein expression. I could increase the dbol to 15mg but I'm worried my gains/water bloat would be too fast and noticeable to others, which is something I want to avoid. Have you guys tried using dbol as a test base before?

I think hitting a trt clinic when my test is low would be a great idea, but I would also like to see what my levels are at when Im fully recovered. It's possible that my natural levels are normal and I'm just a giant pussy when it comes to the effects of lowered T levels.

If I were to describe how I felt, I would say I just felt like I was sick with a slight fever, skin was hot, felt fatigued, and I didn't want to do anything.

As soon as I saw that you were a male “human” I assumed this was a trolling post.

You sought advice and got it, but apparently completely disregarded it. Now you want more advice on how to continue with your oral only cycle…

Man.. 181 at 6’3 is almost never worked out before weight, no offense. I would recommend just training natural until you get your training and diet on point first. Of course your T levels are going to come back low right now if you’re suppressed. You won’t even be able to get a accurate blood test for awhile with suppression and with an attempted pct. If you pct for 4 weeks and test 2 weeks after then you will get a more accurate reading but could still be on the higher side. I started trt at 31 with my levels in the 300s completely natural. I was 225 (15% bf) 6’5 when I started trt and trained on just trt for almost a year, and 240lbs when I started my first cycle but trained natural for 3 years before that.
If you’re serious about the lifestyle then get on trt, if your not just pct and train until you decide if it’s for you.

I recommend avoiding those places unless money is not a factor. I get my TRT from an internal medicine specialist. I pay less than $10 a month for my TRT and he only requires seeing me once a year.

I recommend using an hrt clinic if you want doctors who specialize in the treatment you are looking for and understand how to optimize hormone levels vs just prescribe trt

It's not always about saving money. I have seen in hospital doctors dose trt at once every 2 weeks or even once every 3 weeks with cyp

Yes but I know WTF I’m doing so I don’t need that. All I need is a script and bloodwork done to monitor my health markers. Plus my current doctor is not a dumbass.

You weren't suppressed from Anavar. That's either in your head or you feel like crap for another reason. Like most people, you're probably deficient in nutrients and your diet isn't enough to support your natural testosterone production. What do you eat or supplement with?

Try taking a SERM with the Anavar. Anavar and maybe Raloxifene is a good combo.
