Another stupid fucking question time (with picture)

alright so last night after refiltering two UGL bottles (10ml each) I got this leftover after pulling back from the whatman filter ...

To be clear it was bottles that had crashed and before refiltering I had reheated it to about 180F for 10min. Both bottles were clear liquid and appeared to be fully back into suspension.

To be extra clear order of events:

1. Started with two 10ml bottles of crashed UGL gear
2. Reheated both bottles to approx 180F for 10min
3. Filtered with whatman .22
4. Pulled back on syringe and this goop came out

Worried it maybe gear. However I did try and reheat this goop and it did not change or dissolve. I tried to crash the newly filtered bottle of gear and it did not crash even in a chest freezer.

I'm not sure, looks a little cloudy to me, what kind of oil did they use? Is the goop in the vial? Just making sure we are on the same page about goop. When you pulled back did the goop go in vial or in syringe?

Oh yeah forgot to update this. It was deff fibers from the filter. To answer your question only in the syringe side. The vials are clear. I just put the stuff from the syringe into the vial in the pic.

You’re not using the gear you filtered right?

If I remember correctly you filtered gear from a very reputable source because you were worried about contamination correct?
Looks like you actually created a problem from no problem

What do you think led to the filter being damaged? What type of filter? Did you use a calking gun? Too much pressure?

I will be using the gear yes. That's why I filtered it. I didn't create any problems don't know where you're getting that from.

I don't think the filter was damaged the fibers only appeared after backdrawing the syringe after having already filtering a bottle. I've used both a caulking gun and by hand.

And because the seals on the top spun which made you think they are loose correct?
I deleted my post because I remembered when I tried to explain to you last time you were set in your belief and I didn’t want to repeat that…but here we are lol
The seal holds in the stopper by being crimped. The stopper is what seals the vial. The seal can spin and the stopper isn’t compromised because it can’t lift out.

I would be concerned that there are fibers

I mean you created a problem because there was no problem but I do understand that you have had a bad infection in the past and were worried and I respect that.
I would be much more worried about a damaged filter and fibers than what you had before
Crashed gear just needs heat

The fibers are not in the filtered gear. And yeah I am aware crashed gear needs heat, but that's annoying and since refiltering no more crashing.

I didn't think I needed to for that. But I did and it stopped crashing.
