Any experience with Sun Pharma Test C?

So, I went to fill my trt prescription this afternoon and was pleasantly surprised to find that my insurance has finally decided to pick up the tab for trt.

The past few times that I've paid out of pocket, I received a 10ml multi-use vial of Perrigo brand test c 200mg/ml.

This time when I went to pick up my meds, I expected to pay $70 for my script but it was covered. But, they instead gave me a month supply of 4 individual single use vials made by Sun Pharma from India.

I've read a couple reports online of the brand having had a couple of recalls. One for being underdosed and the other for being contaminated. It's not terribly inspiring but I also realize that it may just be a couple of problems that any pharmaceutical manufacture may have at some point.

Or maybe not? I know guys generally prefer the big brand name pharma over the generics but have any of y'all had bad experiences with Sun Pharma products?

I feel like I've read somewhere to steer clear of the brand but I smoke a lot of weed so I figured I should get some of your opinions and experience on the matter.

Thank you in advance for the input, gentlemen.Screenshot_20220222-173645.png

I’ve not heard good things about Sun, but that’s also because it’s a brand that suspiciously pops up a lot when a new reseller shows up and has a “pharma connection”. I think a ton of the Sun stuff out there is just counterfeit. Obviously that isn’t a problem for your pharmacy. If you want to see what the FDA says about Sun you can look them up on their website. I know they recalled their test c a few years ago.

Sun is one of the largest generic manufacturers in the world, fyi. Much like other overseas manufacturers they basically get away with murder when it comes to failing FDA inspections and recalls.

I'll have to talk with my doctor and possibly get him to change it next month, back to the multi-use vial, or maybe I'll ask him to request the name brand as he has written my prescription as DEPO testosterone each time he's prescribed it.
Thanks for the insight, bud. I wish it was a better outlook but I'm going to try to make this my only month of this Sun shit.

The one plus that I do see going this current route is I get a 200mg 1ml bottle for each week. I only use about 150mg so I'll get an extra bottle each month getting them in single use vials that will get used twice.

Originally, they had tried to give me the single use Perrigo vials but I ended up getting a 10ml Perrigo for cheaper than 4 of the singles when I paid cash. Maybe I'll have him keep it this way but talk to the pharmacy about getting a different brand.

Thanks and take care, brother.

I had some Sun tadalafil/Cialis about 3 years ago and it worked as expected for me at the time. It was the 20mg and I quartered them, taking 5mg daily.

But it's been a while of course and unfortunately that's my only experience with Sun... I know it's not very helpful. I've heard the same things about the brand as mentioned above and also saw recalls as recent as 2021. I wish I had more to contribute but just tossing in my personal experience with what I've had.

Appreciate it, bud.

Upon doing a bit more research, I'm just going to request a different generic so my insurance will continue to cover it.

I'm planning on requesting the Perrigo as I've been happy with it and it's made in the USA and they previously had it available.

Take care.

I received the Sun's on my prescription before and my bloods were consistent with my West Ward prescription at the same dose. I have switched to another pharmacy and back to West Ward so I cant speak on a long term for them.
