Any potential harm in trying an aromatase inhibitor?

Since joining here and researching male HRT in general, I'm wondering if some of my symptoms are more from increased Estrogen related than low T. I have always had stubborn female pattern fat deposits (chest, love handles, butt and thighs) but also don't seem to have a problem gaining LBM, nor low energy levels, joint pain, or some of the other issues seemingly related to just low T. I've been experimenting with diet, and my libido and erectile quality seems directly influenced by how hard I've been cutting fat and cals, and bounces back when they are increased. I drank a shitload of milk in my formative years, and have read stuff suggesting that hormones in our milk supply are causing premature puberty in girls, supposedly from high levels of E. I've never done AAS or precursor stuff, but I did consume 10#s of soy protein isolate over a 3 month period awhile back.

The write up on the above stuff says it will lower E, but once off of it E will rebound to normal levels. I know too low E can be problematic as well, but out of curiousity I wonder what I would be risking by simply trying a one month run of this stuff.

Has anyone tried it? Any other thoughts?

I don't think I've ever experienced it, but too little E2 is supposed to feel about as lousy as too much E2. So be careful. I got a moderate reduction in E2 by taking 80mg. of zinc per day - from 39 to 27. Some people are ambivalent about zinc though.

I would not mess around with your E2 unless you have a blood test and konw you are to high. Going to low will screw you up big time. I would rather be on the high side then to low.

I've read about the risks and effects of too low E2, which is why the 6 oxo type stuff is attractive. Everything I can find on it says that once you stop taking it the body responds by going back to producing what it did before.

I'm just trying to ascertain if this is factual or wishful thinking...

It is certainly _possible_ that you have elevated estradiol (E2), but it is also important that you not take an AI unless you a bloodtest shows that you need it. A follow-up bloodtest is also important to find out how much that AI has lowered your E2. It is important not to bring it down too low.

You want the most accurate estradiol test possible. SWALE believes that the standard estradiol test insufficient.

For example, if getting your bloodwork done through LabCorp, you want the "Estradiol (Sensitive)" test:

Rather than the standard "Estradiol" test:

I think you are missing my point.

Yes, getting a blood test is preferable. But where it's not possible at the moment, and one suspects elevated E2, would running a short course of 6 OXO cause any potential harm since? Yes too low E2 is problematic in it's own regard, but studies like this one seem to suggest that if one doesn't go overboard with dosing good things can happen and when you quit taking it there are no long term ill effects, the body simply begins again producing E2 at prior levels.

A single study, having six subjects, probably commissioned by the mfgr?? Hmmmm.

Which is why I was asking here. That "study" was just a quickie I was able to interject into the above post, but it seems to support all the information I can find on 6 OXO.

I'm wondering if anyone has seen info to the contrary, that a short term cycle of 6 OXO caused ill effects?

I have talked to guys that have used it and it cost a lot more money per pill then just taking Indolplex/DIM. And I have also told guys not to take this without a blood test to be sure they need to lower there E2. They like you did it anyway and made there selfs sick it is no picnic going to low. But you can talk about this all day you sound like you going to do it anyway. I have gone to low and I am telling you it made me feel so bad that if I was not retried I would not have made it to work for days.

I love how thye graphed "two out of the six" subjects. Now, I'm SURE they used the two which responded the least! LOL.

bros correct me on this but I remember reading something that zinc is used in case of low estradiol along with soy ????
