Gotcha.......you're calling them in over decoys. What is the point of the 10ga then? Just more steel in the air to up your kill percentage ?? You do have to run steel loads on turkey now right?

hogg brought up the 10 gauge. i dont have a 10 gauge. I will be using my 12 gauge remington 1100. nothing special. Also, this will be my first year using decoys. My dad always shot nice toms and never used a decoy. I am not expecting to have his calling skills right now and will need every advantage i can get.

Going to pick up my son yesterday I saw a nice tom right by the highway just strutting around lmao. could have shot him right there. Several inch beard. My season is almost here

my best friend just bought an 11-87 and had to send it back several times.it wouldnt eject 2 3/4 or 3 in shells.they finally replaced it.it will shoot 3's but not 2 3/4's now...i guess thats better than nothing.he'll have to buy a different gun for upland,or shoot dove and quail with 3's but all in all not a bad shooting gun...just a bit heavy.i still like italian.

I use a mossberg 9200 for deerthey finally replaced it.it will shoot 3's but not 2 3/4's now...i guess thats better than nothing.

i think that the old rem's are much better guns.the actions (well on that one) was very raspy and sloppy.i know of many guys with 11-87's that have a problem with 2 3/4 esp. 1oz loads.my benelli will eat a eject any shell.its a few hundred more,but it never fails.

i have mossberg 500's, 870 express magnum, rem 100, and my favorite is the moss 9200 that i use for deer. It has been like a ruger 22 for reliability
