Anybody Else Ride Motocross & Train?

From the other coast where trail riding is more popular, but I am with you bro. Had not ridden a dirtbike since I was 19. Used to always ride KTM 300 2 strokes because 4 strokes were slow back when I was 19. Fast forward 15 years, I walk into Honda dealer w/ my buddy last year, & we walk out w/ 2 leftover CRF450X's. Bought two so paid $6K each brand new. We figured we needed 450's because we were both such good riders back in the day...LOL. We both fall ALOT, but it is a blast. Totally nuts how far the bikes have come. 260lbs fully fueled, almost 50HP, & will run High 90MPH's on GPS. I am not married. His wife fuckin' hates me. Lol

I rode crotch rockets for years but went back to dirt as I got older. Like OGH, I used to ride the CR500, but my current weapon of choice is the XR650R. Not having to trailer my bike to where I ride is a great convenience.

Great bike ! Im looking at switching over to a 4-stroke too.....maybe a dual-purpose .

I love mine. It can cruise at freeway speeds no problem for long trips like a road bike, but it has the punch and suspension to handle a Baja race. You can be cruising down a back road and at a moments notice be blasting down a side trail or up the side of a hill. Through in 40-50 mpg and you've got one hellavu bike. For older guys like us I think dual sports fit nicely. Its funny because when I think back, my first street legal bike was an XL185 that I got in HS to commute back and forth to school. Fast forward 30 years and almost as many bikes - here I am riding a bigger, faster version of that same bike.
