Alright ..retired powerlifter due to torn bicep blown back blah blah.... Cutting weight to get in bodybuilding shape.... Have lost tons of power bench but deads have increased dramatically
I know bench is first to go but damn seems like i am a rookie again[emoji24][emoji24][emoji24][emoji24]
 
If your dead has increased dramatically I wouldn't have expected a substantial drop off in bench. Are you not training bench at all? Cables or DB even?

Deadlift is the lift, of the competitive lifts, that's affected the least by bodyweight changes. Squats and bench are affected much more.

Totally agree but not only was deadlift not affected but it increased dramatically. I totally agree tho that bench is affected the most in a cut.

Yea it's not a common thing for the deadlift to go up instead of maintain or drop while other lifts suffer during a cut but I've seen it happen before so it's not unheard of for me. I'd love it if my deadlift went up during a cut hahahaha
 
lol. Same here Doc. I just came off a cut before getting on my first cycle and as you said my squat and bench took a major shit but dead stayed respectable

And now on the cycle you should see some impressive strength gains! Even on test alone, your lifts should go up and you'll be able to tolerate more volume and intensity than normal. Enjoy the ride man
 
Ya train bench usually twice a week
And i mean bench day then shoulder ill do speed or floor presses with without chains
I just cruise with cycles now at my age
No blast or cocktails
We will see
Need another 15 # off then ill be happy
