Anyone here heard of or experienced "test flu?"

Hello, all.

I tried doing a search for test flu here but didn't seem to find any results.

My situation is this. I have been on a HRT dose of 200mg of testosterone cypionate for years and have not had any issues. About a week ago I added 1cc of underground Sust250 so now my total is 450mg of test and that's all I'm taking at the moment.

About the third day in I started to feel something come over me and I didn't feel right. I don't have a fever or chills. But I do sort of feel a bit of tenderness in the neck as if a couple lymph nodes are swollen.

There is no injection site redness or any type of markings or discoloration. There is a tad bit more PIP compared to my prescribed test but nothing unbearable. I first added the Sust on Wed January 1st and by the following Saturday that's when I started to feel something take over.

Oddly, I feel my best when I get to the gym and start working out with my usual intensity. In fact, I almost forget about anything I'm feeling. My appetite is also very good and I eat five meals a day.

From my searching the net some people even go so far as to call it the "Sust" flu. And others claim it has to do more with the shorter acting esters. I never experienced this with medically prescribed cypionate or enanthate.

So I guess I'm asking what would you guys do? I'm thinking of trying to stick things out for ten to fourteen days before calling it quits. From what I've read if it's just a test flu it will subside in a week, give or take. I took Sust250 before but that was twenty years ago and never felt like this. So naturally, I wonder if I should be concerned.

Thanks for any input.

Check your blood pressure. Tightness in the neck is a sign of elevated blood pressure.

Do you a blood pressure cuff monitor you use on yourself at home? If so do you recommend it? I'd like to buy one to use at home. Just not sure which one to get. When I go to the doctor's office I always tell the nurse to use the larger cuff (usually for obese) people since a larger muscular arm can give a false higher reading using the smaller size.

A lot of guys claim flu symptoms from test. I don't doubt it, but I've never experienced it.

basically your body’s auto-immune response to an injected foreign substance (in this case testosterone) and an over abundance of hormones. your body sees the large increase as foreign and tries to get rid of it (think elevated pollen levels and seasonal allergies, they also trigger flu like symptoms) this triggers the inflammatory response which raises your metabolism and temperature.

i never experienced it until i switched from test c to top, which makes sense because the shorter the carboxylic acid chain, then the faster or absorbs and elevates levels giving your body less time to gradually adjust

I've gotten it couple of times when I first started cycling. It sucked and got worse each shot. Stopped cycle pct'd Then next time it didnt happen, never got it again. Funny part is i actually used the bottles that I had left over a couple of years later and didnt get sick.

Thanks for the input, guys. It's not a tightness in my neck, it's a lymph node that feels a little swollen/tender. I'm feeling a little better each day so hopefully it's nothing more than something minor.
