Anyone know Coleman's training split?

I remember a long time ago when I was a teen I actually used to read Flex or something like that (OUCH). His split was push, legs, pull, push, legs, pull, rest. So 6 on 1 off. Six days per week. I assume he doesn't ever really seem to change his training.

6 days a week.He only takes sunday off from training. Most of us would overtrain our asses off even on half the amount of training he does.I doubt most of the other pros can handle that much.Ive seen his videos and articles on him.He is something else altogether. He only sleeps like 5 hours a night. But the most amazing thing about him is his body's resistance to injury. He uses crazy heavy weights with disgustingly bad form (Like shown in his Unbelievable video).Yet he hasnt torn any muscles yet. Just watch the part where he does bent over rows with 5 wheels on each side while swinging his body up and down with each rep.

Well his training isnt much to me. He uses alot of wieght yes (over 14 years of training) but Ive been doing pretty much the same workout as he does for about 8 months now. The only difference between his workout and mine is 1 set for each body part. Where he does 4 sets im at 3 sets. I use the same rep range as he does. Some one told me that I was over training. So me being the dumb as I am I listened and start 3on 1off and not i hate it. Every month of the 8 that ive been training ive seen growth. Now shit seems slow, so back to my work out. I guess my point is if I can do it and only been in the game for 8 months then can some on you. And for his form, I cant seem to get my DL form correct but... im a mean Mofo at the DL. The peeps that I workout with were all about the form when at came to DL but I didnt care and long as I did them. Now 2 out of the 3 that I work with stopped doing them altogether. "My back hurts" little babys..lol. The only difference between Ronnie and I is sleep, I get anywhere between 7-9. So is he Unbelievable?, no, timing and planning yes.

YOu don't think he's unbelievable because you can do the same split as him? Dude, I suggest you look at a pic of the monster then ask yourself if he isn't unbelievable?...

Yeah- big guy... He's the guy that got me onto this site-- this forum. Still, I hope Jay Cutler gets his chance to overthrow him at this Olympia (please Jay, ask the meso bros for a concoction!)

Jay had his window in 2001.As long as Coleman doesnt get hurt or something goes seriously wrong no One can defeat him as long as he shows up in the shape he did in 2003.Even the biggest Coleman haters had to bow down in 2003. Jay had a chance in 2001.He didnt take it.Too late now.Cutler is a 2 time Arnold Classic winner so he should be happy with that but he wont be winning the Olympia anytime soon.He is just genetically outdone in that show.

Well, golly gee wiz, beaver! A whole 8 months, huh? Wow, you must be the talk of your town. Yep, you are definitely an authority on training by now. Certainly capable of deciding if RC is unblievalbe or not, too.

Grizzly, I founded your joke funny but the amount of time hitting the wieghts means nothing if they arent done correctly. The talk of my town? no but when asked how long ive been lifting people are shock with how much I know.

P.S dont be mad because you werent anywhere near my stats with in your first year..lol

Frosty, first learn how to read. He asked about Ronnies workout, nothing about his muscles. So I was talking about his workout and my 8 months of the same workout has been great, every 8 weeks my max goes up. Dont be a hater bro, like Mr. Coleman said" if its not broke why fix it".

Ronnie has insane muscle genetics, as was said by the gym owner in his video - he had veins showing in his legs and 18 inch arms before lifting a weight. What ronnie does has little application to a normal guy

yes ronnie has insane muscle genetics. but the one thing he does that is applicable to every person training is that he lifts heavy. that is one of the main reasons why he is where he is. if he trained light and didnt use maximal effort he would be nowhere. he would be just another nobody. so while his volume might be through the roof, i dont' really know, nor do i care. if you lift heavy and get stronger you are gonna grow, as long as you are eating. if nothing else, that should be something you take away from watching ronnie.

That's actually incorrect. Assuming a proper workout plan and the appropriate levels of loading and unloading, then you can make gains with the EXACT same program year in and year out.

Yea every few minutes he checks to see if its time to eat. Many of us would grow a whole lot more if we also ate every three hours no matter what.

Hey Griz - I hope I'm not out of line with this question. But have you ever posted your pic on any of the boards? I only ask because you seem to be like me, a student of the game. You seem like a man who has spent alot of time studying training. Whenever I see someone with a physique that impresses me, I pick their brains. I was just kinda curious what your development was like.

Yeah, I've posted up before. It could certainly be more refined, but I'm not lacking for any size. Well, I think I am, especially since I have been much bigger, but size isn't as large of a concern for me now that I compete in fighting as opposed to BB.

Frosty- I'll explain more of what I meant when my brain feels like working better. Probably sometime tomorrow afternoon.

After you have been on your 6 on 1 off split for a few more years tell us how your progress is. In the first year of training beginners can basically grow on anything. If you think you are just as unbelievable as Ron you have another thing coming. That SOB could grow pushing lawnmowers for a living.
