Anyone use deer meat as they're #1 protein source

Dude. I eat it 2-3x a week. I killed 5 this year, 9 last year, 7 year before ....I live off that stuff. My kids tear it up!

Dang! I give you guys props because I couldn't hang after having it for a few weeks in a row. Then again, I've only cooked it the same way in a slow-cooker. If you have any favorite recipes you'd like to share, please throw them my way. I'll need them, haha.

Take your back straps , cit into small fist sixed chunks and fillet them how about three eighths of an inch thick marinate them overnight in Allegra. Or use your favorite marinade. The next day lay the fillets out on The Cutting Board take a piece of cream cheese about three quarters of an inch thick the width of the cream cheese package and roll the cream cheese in the filet stick a couple toothpicks in it to hold it together then wrap that filet with a couple strips of bacon use some cooking twine to hold all that together and then Grill it somewhere 350-400 for about 15 minutes or until the bacon is pretty much done the meet will be medium medium rare

Take your stew meat Brown it in a large 8qtpot. Cut up 5 medium to large-size tomatoes onion arge green pepper. For one large bottle of Worcestershire sauce onto the browned meat. Then add the vegetables and cover the vegetables with water bring it to a boil and then let it simmer for about 45 minutes or until it looks like the onions are done. Serve it over rice in a bowl. I had a little bit of butter to the rice before I put the meat and vegetables on it and sometimes add some more Worcestershire sauce as I like mine kind of twangy.

Not necessarily the most healthy meal as far as salt intake but it's damn good

This sounds way tastier than the typical crockpot stew I make using Lipton Onion Soup mix for flavor. So sick of it! I really appreciate these and excited to try venison again.

No problem. We grind up a lot of it. You have to add some fat to it because its so lean, but anything you would use ground beef for we use ground deer. I don't think we've bought ground beef for maybe 8 years. Burgers, chili, sauces, meatloaf.

I smoke a venison meatloaf that will make you smack someone. I put a pan of apple juice below the meatloaf to sorta steam the meat also. I've had to add some egg whites to the meatloaf or it crumbles, but its sooo good.

You definitely know your venison! I'm really looking forward to trying these.

Never tried it with sun-dried tomatoes in the cream cheese. Alot of times I stick half a pepper or a piece of pineapple then wrap in bacon and do on grill. Some times I stuff jalapenos with cream cheese then stick em in there.
