Anyone use this protein?

Supposedly it's equivalent to what 30grams of protein does without much calories or anything, and in a small amount.

I guess I don't follow that. If protein has 4 cals per gram, how is there less than 60 calories per serving? It should be minimum 120 cals per serving.

I must be missing something

The stranger thing is the serving size... You can't fit that much protein in a tbsp. It's like advertising a car with a 30 gallon gas tank that you can put 50 gallons into.

This company has been successfully sued by a competitor in the past for misleading claims. They seem to be pretty non compliant with the judgement to stop being misleading.

Yeah, seems a bit odd.

Best I've used for macros is collagen protein, which is like 50 calories per 10g of protein

It's also tasteless powder that you can stir into a cup.of coffee without even tasting it.

Collagen protein does not contain all of the essential amino acids (these are amino acids that your body cannot make - i.e., you must eat them).

I suppose if you get the missing stuff from elsewhere in your diet, maybe your body can still use collagen protein, but it is safer to get something with all of the essential amino acids in it (whey contains all of them).

I have used collagen protein, I've seen people put it into coffee creamer even. You wouldn't be and to get your complete proteins from it though... It's very different from whey or an equivalent. I have been wanting to take it with GH to see if hair and nails grow faster. I tend to notice my nails grow a lot faster on GH alone.

Yeah, they are claiming it is "like" 30 grams of protein, not that it IS 30 grams of protein.

Chuckling at that one.

This is news to me for sure.

If you guys dont mind analyzing my morning

I only consume non whole foods in the AM as eating is very difficult for me when waking up (Autoimmune gastritis)

100g Oatmeal
1 Coffee with 10g Collagen protein
30 minutes later
50g Vegan protein shake.

The other 200g to 250g of protein is all whole foods (Fish, Chicken, beef, beans) spread out st 50g per serving intervals throughout the day)

Should I swap out the collagen?

I don't think there's anything wrong with that in the AM... Other than the coffee you should be avoiding due to AG. But, I don't blame you.. Coffee is awesome. Consider switching to a cold brewed coffee to lower the acidity maybe, I prefer it to hot brewed by a long shot.

I would consider a probiotic food like yogurt, maybe add tumeric or ginger into the shake as an anti inflammatory for the GA.

Awesome thanks

I actually take 2 different types of probiotics
One type AM one type PM, they're slightly different so I get a broad spectrum.

I will add the Tumeric and Ginger to my shakes for sure.

Interestingly enough, Coffee doesnt bother me AT ALL, I'm a coffee maniac with no issues.
Sugars and over eating in general kill me, like on the ground in pain cant move and can barely breathe (I'm missing an esophageal sphincter as well, so the acid spills into my lungs when it gets bad enough)

And Raspberries.... I even look at them and I'm going down, dont know why lol.

I've had this for about 10 years, so I've gotten pretty darn good at knowing what foods I can or cant eat, mostly through trial and error

Very interesting... Much better to be on the outside looking in though lol.
