Arimidex In PEG 400?

I’m getting my 1 gram of arimidex soon and was wondering what my options are for a dissolvent. I can’t get my hands on 190 proof alcohol. We don’t have anything like that here where I live. I can get my hands on some 40% vodka and PEG 400.
If I can I would rather just use PEG 400 by itself without alcohol. Would this work?

I tried using peg 400 for some bases and I don’t think it’s useful compared to our other options. I use 10% guaiacol instead now. Never tried making arimidex into solution before. I think some people use ora plus? Maybe 151?

I will be needing to make some arimidex soon so I started gathering things. Without much research, I elected for peg 600. Turns out a quick search would have told me what @XmadXscientist had already figured out. Peg 600 is solid at room temp so it really wouldn't be good for making adex.

Is it worth it to use guaiacol for oral solutions?

Yeah I got some of that to try and it was solid too. 400 is a liquid though.

Does PEG 400 work? It’s kinda all I can get my hands on besides some 40% vodka

I think it will work because arimidex molecular weight is 293.3
If you have a powder with a molecular weight of 383,then you would need at least PEG 400 to suspend it. I use PEG 400 for Nolvadex, Cardarine, Ostarine and it works just fine.

You also can try glycerine and 40% alcohol at a 50:50 ratio.

I haven't tried these (yet!)

Just curious if OP has ever tried pure PEG 400
it tastes like total shit
way worse than any alcohol.

I have peg 300, want to make a few oral suspensions.

Wondering how it would work for the gollowing:

Nolvadex
Arimidex
Anavar.

Also, is it good by itself or should I use booze

The first brewing step should always be:

1 checking the solubility figures
2 whenever a chemical is water soluble AND it doesn't decompose (in water), then choose water as the solvent. It's cheap, widely available and not only not harmful but actually good for your health.
3 Add some preservative to water or oil solvents to avoid bacterial growth. Can be ethanol or BA.

Tamoxifen (Nolva)

solubility H2O: insoluble <0.1% at 20 °C
chloroform: soluble 50 mg/mL clear, colorless to faintly yellow
2-propanol: soluble
DMSO: soluble
ethanol: soluble
methanol: soluble
propylene glycol: soluble
Tamoxifen T5648

Ethanol: 20 mg/ml
DMSO: 2 mg/ml

Tamoxifen is also soluble in corn oil
https://www.mskcc.org/sites/default/files/node/3816/documents/tamoxifen-preparation.pdf
You can use Olive Oil which is healthier, just settle for a lower concentration in case corn to olive oil solubility varies.

So it's not water soluble.
You can also choose ethanol as the solvent (I hate DMSO aftertaste)
be aware that the 20 mg/ml figure is meant just for very pure, true lab-grade alcohol, possibly absolute-alcohol.

So I'd settle for just 10, perhaps only 5 mg/ml with commercial Everclear.
For 20 mg a day you'd need to drink just 2/4 ml of it (add some extra water to the glass).

As for Arimidex (anastrozole)

Anastrozole has moderate
aqueous solubility (0.5 mg/mL at 25°C); solubility is independent of pH in the physiological range.
Anastrozole is freely soluble in methanol, acetone, ethanol, and tetrahydrofuran, and very soluble in
acetonitrile.

Ethanol 20 mg/ml
DMSO 13 mg/ml

While it's very slightly soluble in water, it may take forever to dissolve,
so you can try dissolving it in Everclear at just 5 mg/ml.
Again, the 20 mg/ml is probably only attainable using very pure, lab-grade alcohol.

As for Anavar (Oxandrolone):

Soluble 1 in 5200 of water, 1 in 57 of alcohol,
1 in 69 of acetone, 1 in less than 5 of chloroform,
and 1 in 860 of ether.
Oxandrolone (PIM 913)

That's 1 g var in 57 g alcohol
= 17.54 mg / g alcohol
taking alcohol density 0.789
= 22.54 mg/ ml alcohol. (pure alcohol)

For Everclear, settling for 1/4 of that figure
= 5.56 mg/ml in Everclear.
