Hey guys...

what are your views on the atkins diet? have any board members used it and got succesful results? do you feel it is severely catabolic or does it preserve a certain amount of muscle?

Atkins = normal people bullshit. If you'd like to go the low carb route, which isn't even necessary, then read the sticky at the top entitled "Alright Bob, let's get the ball rolling". In there, you will learn how to do a proper cyclicle ketogenic diet. Any remaining questions could easily be posted and addressed in a further thread in this forum.

Bro, Atkins = fat people. You will loose muscle, then you will gain twice the fat. Doesn't work, period.

Youre clueless, bro. Stick with what you know instead.

Yeah, I was going to flame the everloving fuck out of that 'tard, but I'll let the former two do the duty.

the idea is to eat a minimum of 20g carbs for the first two weeks to enter ketosis (ive been on the diet for 3 days, tested myself and have small to moderate amounts of ketones present)...then you're supposed to increase carb intake gradually each week by about 10g/week until maintenance calories are reached...

im thinking of using a CKD approach rather than atkins, loading carbs two days per week as training is very hard on the atkins diet...

Im looking to drop about 14lbs, while maintaining as much muscle as poss.

Test + winny are being used as anti catabolics

Sucks i tried Keto before made me feel pretty bad even though i was getting good fats/protein i just try to keep things balanced now take my carbs in the morning and post workout felt alot better lol did get my bf. to where i wanted Now i just keep eat high gi. carbs as long as i eat them before 6pm if i ever use Keto again i will probably do the mon-sat 20G sun-carb load routine where you slowly decrease cardio from 75-30 mins until carb load
