Atrophy of the Testes Question

I've been on HRT for about 4 months. My results are great! energy good, mood much better and sex drive is really great. My testicles have shrunken a bit and my left one seems to spend most of its time up and away which I thought was bad (temp etc = Cancer) I was diagnosed after going in to complain about low drive, impotence, mood issues and overall tiredness.

As of late I spoke to a doctor about atrophy via email and he was no fan of HRT. Said if I insisted on sticking with it I had best consider eventual castration. Now, I'm not out to impregnate anyone. I'm middle aged, have all the kids I want and do NOT want any infants in the house anymore. I've gotten "fixed" vascetomy already so thats not the point. The idea of slicing them off is not easy to hear. Don't get me wrong if its a choice between HRT and feeling like crap let the slicing begin.

Anyhow, from what I hear once you go past a few months of HRT your testicles are not going to return from the dead anyway. Is this true? One of the guys emailed me some info on HGC and while I'm happy to avoid injections (so far) I might reconsider. If this does recharge my testicles will the fact that I'm clamped shut (by Vascetomy) cause a blow out? Since I'm choosing to be sterile anyhow am I just being obsessed?

hcg will awaken your testes even if your on test and there shut down.................. hcg mimicks lh ....fsh and tsh i believe so......... Castration? that doctor has no clue what he is talking about....... get a new doctor and tell him to cut his own #@! off.......... 250 iu x 2 of hcg the 2 days b4 your shot will keep those guys working fine and no need for castration......... even if they sat there and make no test i don't know the reason for the castration............. HCG 4 THE WIN!

Castration? That's one of the most bizarre things I have ever heard. HRT of the type used by many people on this board has fewer side effects than that which many doctors are prescribing. Unfortunately they are in the dark ages and many are totally inflexible and arrogant. "I've made a decent living out of it so far; I'm not going to rock the boat". Learn what you can and then shop around till you find someone progressive.

Get a new physician.

All I can say to that is get a new physician. I come from a family
of doctors. Remeber they are called " practicing physicians". Who are they
practicing on ? Us that's who. Get one that knows the most recent treatments
and is up to date on current knowledge. Why don't you give this physician a
copy of swales treatment protocol and see what response you get? Then you
can decide to drop this doctor and move on.

swale i think u learned this also................... there is nothing that surprises me anymore when it comes to doctors............... they prob did say that to him ( double gulp!)
