ASADA is the Australian equivalent to USADA and they have been investigating a whole team of professional athletes involved in a sanctioned high performance supplements program. There is confusion regarding the WADA status of the peptide in question, but it shows that these anti doping authorities are full of zealots with no real interest in the health of athletes

ASADA gets a taste of its own medicine

On Friday television cameras will be allowed to film a Federal Court case to determine whether Australia’s main doping agency is acting outside the law and perhaps even the constitution. It has certainly acted outside the spirit of what we hold dear when it comes to justice.

Who wins that case will be determined by the Federal Court and naturally I pass no judgment. But putting to one side the main issues of that case, the world has rarely seen a doping enforcement body acting in the manner we have seen from the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA).

The separate legal matters that go before the Federal Court on Friday may be thrown out or the case might go on for an extended period -- perhaps years.

In this long and drawn-out affair, in my view ASADA has lost the respect it requires both locally and internationally to do its necessary job in the best possible manner. And if the court case is prolonged it may not have the money. Perhaps a new body and a new leader is required.

So it seems a second sporting code has been caught up in a supposed drugs in sport scandal and the anti doping authority has managed to fuck this up also. So much so they offered reduced punishments to anyone willing to admit guilt. Looks like guys took a plea just to get it over with

The anti doping zealots must be having conniptions. System has found 34 Australian players not guilty of breaching doping code, but WADA have decided to appeal the decision.
This has been going on for years and demonstrates the inadequacies of protecting health of sports people using anti-doping regulations

USADA is just as bad...seems the anti-doping agencies all over the world just rather run roughshod over athletes' rights without any recourse. Bet a lot of the doping tests have been faked just to dump some good honest athletes.

It seems they are on a mission to discredit anyone that may be pushing their boundaries on enhancing performance. Evidence comes second to getting a guilty verdict, with the health of people not even a factor. What shits me most is that they say they do it for people's health. Bullshit

If people are pushing the boundaries of strength and endurance naturally then all the power to the people. I just don't get this whole thing with these sports councils either.

Well it looks like WADA has proven it's flawed point with the Court of Arbitration for Sport upholding their appeal of the previous finding of not guilty on these doping matters. disgraceful effort by the authorities pushing their war on PEDs agenda
