I have 1l of benzyl alcohol from qsc in a bottle

If i wanne make bac water do i need to filter the benzyl alcohol with a .22 filter ?

Going to add 0.45ml into a 50ml vial with sterile water

I just made one, but there's still positive pressure inside the vial even after equalizing it with the outside air. Could the benzyl alcohol be spoiled? I mixed it with the peptide and several bubbles formed inside. Can you give me insight about this ? @Ghoul

I mixed 1ml of benzyl alcohol and 99ml of sterile water on 100ml vial, But whenever I put the syringe in the vial, air escapes; it seems like air is being created inside the vial, so to speak.

It’s not from the BA going bad.

When you mix vigorously, a lot of air can dissolve into the water. It’s not necessarily visible as bubbles and can take days to migrate out of the water. Being in a sealed vial, as some escapes pressure builds in the headspace, trapping the rest in the liquid, until you relieve pressure making room for more to escape.

This doesn’t happen with pharma BA because it’s mixed outside of the vials and degassed as part of the filling process.

Ahh I see but 2 minutes after i relieved pressure it with pressure again, so its safe to mix with peptides? Even if create bubbles?

Re bubbles forming in peptide vials, did you inject the bac water as slowly as possible? Not squirt the water directly on the peptide?

Btw there is no need to buy benzyl alcohol from UGL. You can buy this from legal stores. One liter of benzyl alcohol is a tremendous amount, you need to start up an UGL to get rid of it. You should buy the smallest possible BA vials, like 50ml, for a few bucks.

Yes i did, with pharma ba never created bubbles before, idk.. im afraid to inject, i bought benzyl alchohol on legal pharma grade, where i live theres only 1L availible

It’s not great. Bubbles are best avoided with peptides, particularly GH. I never had to deal with what you’re describing so it never occurred to me. Maybe vent it a couple times a day until it stops happening.

Don’t worry about injecting air. That’s a non issue with the volumes we’re talking about, if you’re concerned about that being a risk.

Yeah that’s perfect. I wouldn’t use it to filter peptides because 30mm is a bit too much holdup volume (waste) when you’re dealing with 1-3ml.
