Back fill

I've seen where people have been adding extra oil to push all the gear out of the filter.. Could a person not just back fill the syringe and wouldn't the air push it through?? Not in the brew game yet just reading up

The air should push some of it through. Worse case scenario you lose a couple of ml. Pretty much a non issue as far as I'm concerned.

Right on is that what you do is just keep back feeding? I've seen a lot of people talking about not using heat as well..

I did this last night with about 2ccs of air. Seemed to work pretty well as the syringe filter was white again after the air passed through. Sure, some might have been left, no more than 1ml... I'm willing to lose that much.

Bottle top filters absorb more oil than syringe filters. They're larger.
