Can the sodium chloride injection be used instead of bacteriostatic water for long term reconstitution of peptides ?

No. I mean yes, you can use it, but you’re risking bacterial growth in your vials if you don’t use the whole amount all at once. That’s what sodium chloride is used for. If you’re storing something in the fridge for days or weeks then you should use bacteriostatic water. If you already have sterile saline solution you can simply add benzyl alcohol and voila, you now have bacteriostatic water.
