Bactrim Dose

I just received my Bactrim from MedsMex.....for those of you who have used Bactrim to clear up acne.....what is the average dose?

Adult Dose 160 mg TMP/800 mg SMZ PO q12h

First, a question for you, did they require a prescription? My wife needs some, and that would be handy to know.

What tablet size did you get? I think they normally come in 400 mg dose, but it's a mix of two things, so if you can give the details of your 'brand', that will help.

For acne, dose is normally failry low compared to say the 400 you might take if you had an ear infection.

Thanks for the reply.....No need for script I got some clen., lasix and 2 kinds of Bactrim both 80mg-400mg Trimetoprima y sulfametoxazol (Roche and Vanadyl) both very inexp.....Received package 2 1/2 weeks (Northeast US). Packaging wasn't great though. But still received all

Depends on how much you weigh and how bad the acne is.

I have the 800 mg septrin forte and am taking one a day. Its been two days now. My shoulder and back are mild to medium...they are small but many. I am also using an acne scrub. Will let you know how it works.

It took two of those per day for a while until it cleared up then just switched to one tab. Also, if you sweat a lot then that increases your chances for acne in the areas you sweat. So shower as often as possible.

Well its working allready. Shit, nothing new and everything is clearing up. There is one side effect im noticing and thats a mild headache but its manageable with a couple advil.
