On big business: Obama has a proposed tax credit of 3000 dollars for every job created in the USA. He's rewarding big business for creating jobs here. Not overseas!

Regarding Moslem teachers: Separation of Church and State. It's in the constitution. Also, it's not black history week, it's black history month. And pretty much every other month is white history month. We are allowed to pray in most schools. I can pray and you can pray, but You can't force me to pray and I can't force you to pray.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . ." excerpt from the 1st ammendment.

Regarding abortion: I don't have a great or good argument for that. Perhaps, we could agree on trying to reduce the ammount of unwanted pregnancies?

Regarding healthcare: What if you lose your job Dennis? You get a new one and before your benefits kick in, your liver fails. Then the new insurance company says," that's a pre-existing condition. Can't help ya." We have the great doctors, hospitals and great technology in the U.S. and if we can make it affordable then we should. I think that Jesus would want it to be affordable. I don't believe that Jesus wants us to suffer?

Regarding Guns: a ban on your constitutional right to bear arms would never make it past the supreme court. I hope that it would never make it past congress either.


Nuke Iran and Iraq on the same day: How many civilians would die? How many women and children? How's that different from being a terrorist?

We do need to end our reliance on foreign oil. We need to invest in alternative forms of energy and that will help strenghthen our economy.

When Clinton was in office, the economy was strong, the budget was balanced and our national debt had been reduced. With Bush, economy is faltering, national debt is skyrocketed and the budget is no longer balanced. The middle class was strong under Clinton and Obama wants to restore the middle class. Obama doesn't want our retirements he wants our retirements to be there for us when we need them. Unlike the people that had money in MCI Worldcom or Bush's buddies at Enron.

Regarding Mortgages: Fannie Mae, under pressure from the Dem's in the 90's, created a pilot program that you could buy a house for no money down for 150k or less at a FIXED RATE of 1 point above the national average. At the time it would have been 7.25. That would have meant 30 years paying 1100$ per month. Most families can afford that and that's a fair program. Unfortunately, in the 2000's greed created some spinoff products and programs that were absolutely toxic. 'No Money Down' Falls Flat Loan originators sold these proucts to people, knowing that they were ripping these people off and that the people would eventually lose there homes and savings. But the originators still got their commissions.

As i respect your opinions and beliefs as well dennis. And you have the right to vote based on those beliefs. But keep in mind that just because someone doesn't share the same beliefs as you, doesn't mean they are out to destroy everything you hold dear. From your posts you sound very afraid about someone who is different from you becoming president. And many of your points are either flat out inaccurate or an exaggeration of the truth premised on lack of ALL the information and fueled by fear. Its almost like you don't want to be open minded to hearing facts and thats fine. You've already made up your mind probably a long time ago based on beliefs. But about the healthcare. One of his proposals is that no one can be denied health care from the insurance companies for existing conditions. I think you might be covered under that umbrella?

I've been following this for some time and it's becoming more and more frustrating to read. First off Dennis and a lot of other people on here, you all know I have a lot of respect for you so do not take anything as if i am judging you differently or anything. Though i do want to mention about your strong beliefs in Christianity. I'm very Italian, I come from a big Italian family that is very old styled, as in we do things how things used to be done in the old days. I grew up a very strong believer in Catholicism. I went to church every Sunday, did Sunday school, and all of that. What it did in the long run was create me to look negatively on how people are very hypocritical when it comes to religion. There is not one set answer to what one religion everybody should go by. That is what makes this world so great, we are allowed to believe in what we want. Who says any one person is better, or better off based on their religion? Isn't the point of living to be a good person and treat others how we would want to be treated? Isn't that the basis? What difference does it make if your best friend ends up being a Muslim, or Pagan, or Jew? Would you really judge somebody that has always been there for you negatively or differently? Here's the kicker to it all, Dennis, look up the origination of Christianity and you will eventually get down to that Christianity stems from another religion that was created hundreds of years ago. I can't think of the name but I've read articles about this, and it was supposed to be a precursor to all other religions. How does anybody know that there is even one set God? Look at the Greeks when they believed in numerous amounts of Gods. Same thing with the Indians. I no longer believe that Catholicism is the right religion, i don't believe that Judaism, Christianity, or even the beliefs of Muslims is the correct religion. I believe that as long as people do the right things in life then what more can we ask of them? I'm not agnostic and I'm not atheist, I believe in some type of higher power, but whether it be one God or many Gods is irrelevant. I don't look down on others because they don't believe in any of it, or because they believe more in science, hell a lot of close friends and some of my best friends don't believe or agree with religion. For the most part I don't agree with religion. If you look at the pattern of religion throughout the years, it is a tool that is used to distort the truth of real life. Look at the majority of people that become very devoted Catholics, or Christians, and look at their backgrounds and what drove them to be so religious. Many of those people you will see have a bad background of abuse, drug abuse, and other ways in which most people of religion or most people in society in general would look down on. But to the church, if you believe in what they say, and you change how you are and CONFORM to what they want you will be forgiven. Then these people change their ways because of what they are told and then think better of themselves and less of the people that aren't them. Does that even sound right? Does it sound right for people that were drug addicts to now look down on other drug addicts and become great hypocrites instead of giving them a hand and helping them without having to make them believe in something? Its the good in people that define who we really are, not what some book says, or some preacher says. People believe in their religions because its what they were taught for so long, but how many people really know what happens after we die? Not one LIVING person can tell you where you go, what you see, who you meet, or what happens. Maybe people should start looking at the good in people rather than, "oh they don't believe in what I believe in they are wrong" because that is the view of closed minded people, and if that's what you want to be then you are going to lived a closed life for a long time. I'm sorry to go on a tangent about this, its just something that I've strongly believed in since moving away from home and being around people of different religions and races. Dennis don't think that this was geared towards you because it wasn't at all. I just know that you were posting a numerous amount of times and you were talking a lot about your beliefs. I would hate for anybody to take this personally or even think that I'm pointing fingers or talking down to people because I'm not. Hell I'm just a 21 year old kid what do I know right?

One of the reasons for obamas health care plan is to make available more preventative care. So that means when you take your daughter to the er that you don't wait for everyone else(freeloaders, as you call them) to get their turn first. With preventative care people with less money or a weaker health insurance program could get medical help at the first sign of illness. Instead of waiting until the last minute and going to the er with an ailment that couldve been treated with a 20min dr visit.

My 2 cents on that... People of different races were not ment to live together. It has nothing to do with hate, it's just nature. This uptopian idea of a multicultural society is nonsense. I'm not in any way concerned with my own beliefs. I'm glad that i have an open mind and heart to learn why other people believe and do what they believe in. Nobody knows the truth, not one living person, so there is no need to ridicule, criticize, or down grade any other person's beliefs.
