Barley vs Rice.

If anyone is having gut health issues I highly, highly recommend intermittent fasting aka time restricted eating. I dealt with sever gi issues for 2 years. I gave that a shot after reading peoples experiences and studies. It dam near cleared it up in a couple weeks. I was worried about losing muscle but I didnt. Strength and muscle stayed plus I dropped some fat. Truly amazing. There are so many studies showing how IF fixes many many metabolic disorders and others.
Do you have to keep doing it though? Like if i intermittent fast and it fixes everything then go back to eating routinely will the problems just come back?

That's a difficult question to answer. It depends a lot on what was ailing you particularly and if you need to heal. For me I switch back and forth now. I am much better but still have discomfort sometimes. When I do I do IF for a week or so. Dont want to jam up this thread, pm me if you have any questions.

Important info. That's not at all jamming it up!!

For about a month I would vomit and shit within a hour of eating. I went IF and veg for about a month and a half and that worked!

Agree with @Human_backhoe
Not jamming up the thread at all.

I would venture to say most of us have had digestive issues at one point or another.

I went from around 230 (Was about to cut to get into competition shape)
when my digestion gave our,
Dropped down to 155
Could only eat PLAIN yogurt and water for the better part of a year.

HumanBackhoe saw me, I looked like an aids patient.

Is there a thread already about digestive woes rhat we have gone through/experience? If not seems like a good one to create.

Reminds me of these chickpea pastas I used to eat, the fiber definitely got to my digestive system. There was not enough bone broth, yogurts or probiotics to fix that clog.
