Bb Definition Of Conditioning

I noticed that "conditioning" is defined differently in bodybuilding. From a sports science perspective, it is developing the body's energy systems for the demands of the task/sport. Basically cardiovascular adaptations.

From reading the boards it appears that body builders use the term to describe someone's vascularity, ie cuts shreds and scirations of muscle groups. Is that correct? Thanks for the help.

You would be correct come competition time nobody cares what a bodybuilders body can do or lift. They care about how they look. Bodybuilding is a visual sport.

That is why I had to ask because it's ironic that bb's (aesthetic sport) use of the term is opposed to what it means in athletic sports.

Thanks for the clarification guys.
