Belt modification

Hey gang, quick question.

Bought a belt a little while back and used their sizing chart and it turns out i probably should have went a couple sizes smaller, it fits fine and i have a couple more notches left but there is going to come a time here where i am going to run out of notches as im cutting big time still.

Dont really want to buy snother one, and dony really have the money to buy another one right now so my questions are....

can i add more notches my self?
Will it mess with the structural integrity of the belt?
What would be the best tool? Drill? Some sort of specialty leather working tool?

You should be able to punch new holes into the leather. Just measure the distance apart the holes are and then punch as many as you need. You should look for a leather punch tool.

Ok cool thanks guys. I figured it wouldn't be an issue.
I imagine the only reason it doesnt come with holes all around in the first place is so you have to buy another one from them when it gwts too small/large hahah

I own a forever belt by Toro. It has a lever on it. I love it.. I have had it for ten years and I have gone thru two levers. They are easy enough to replace.. it is thick so I used a 1/4 drill bit to get thru the leather and it worked fine. I have gone up and down on size and and never had a problem with it.. look into it if you want to by a new one

I looked at that one actually, i dont like the idea of how the excess belt goes in between tour body and the belt though, seems like it would be pretty uncomfortable . Plus honestly im gonna use this one untill it's dead, unfortunately dont have the money to own multiple belts haha
