Apparently it also effects oxygen uptake but the study was performed on people with metabolic syndrome (aka fat people) being prescribed Metformin. No control group of normal persons to contrast.

IMO Berberine is better. Based on clinical data it's been shown to be just as effective as metformin for diabetes plus it regulates lipids and a whole host of other things. Metformin was only synthesized because you can't patent nature.

Metformin has on theory a negative impact on muscle growth but in reality a PEDs user will have zero negative sides on muscle growth from using it
