I was wondering if there is a recommended book for beginners on training, nutrition, supplements - everything needed for beginners to understand achieving optimal fitness levels.
I've been reading as much as can via the Internet, on here and a few other places, and this is the first fitness board I've joined. Granted I've been browsing and reading as many threads as I can on here, but I do come upon terms, phrases and topics I want to know more deeply about. For instance, what lab tests should I ask for and what so they mean? I'm making an appointment for a complete physical (which I probably won't get for another few weeks) so I'd like to make use of that time to gain as much info to discuss with my doctor.
While everyone seems so well-versed in body hormones, chemicals and composition, I still find it all quite overwhelming. So if anyone could suggest a book for beginners to understand the entire make-up of complete body sculpturing, nutrition, supplements, etc. it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance!
