Best Private Delivery Company

Do we as a community have any firm data on which private delivery companies have the best success rate as far as delivering intl products into the US goes?

Presumably we're talking about UPS, DHL, and Fedex. Hopefully somebody can share their experience(s) with these providers.

What does it matter? Nothing is solid. Some of these guys are getting powders from China and it requires a signature. Thats how most UGL's do it.

I wouldn't use anyone of those private companies. And what does it matter anyways? Not one service has 100% success rate. Customs is always hit or miss.

Just because no service has 100% success doesn't mean we shouldn't determine what success rates they do have. It may be worthwhile to some if one or more of the carriers has some obvious policy that makes success less likely.

It's all about maximizing probabilities for success.

Well good luck with figuring it out. If you are that concerned with smuggling, maybe you shouldn't be ordering overseas to begin with.

Oh well, I figure that (i) the more information that is out there, the more the community can empower itself to stay safe, and (ii) I'd rather be possibly overly paranoid than not paranoid enough.

I would imagine that for LE to open a package one would already be on their radar so to speak. Unless the packaging was somehow "suspicious".

I've only done 7 ships from Overseas, and all were USPS track and confirm. A little slow on the tracking sometimes. One package still said ISC New York, and the mailman was at my door, but they always get here. I was going to pay the extra, but I didn't know if it was FedEx or UPS. I never liked UPS, plenty of dealings with FedEx.

The usps did a good thing when they made printing out shipping labels at home a reality as well as flat rate shipping.(If it fits it ships!!) Face to face with a possibly nosy postal employee.
Home based businesses and ebay make the sight if reg folks with lots of boxes several days a week an everyday thing.
The sharing of info and knowing that certain zips are more likely to be scrutinized when receiving int packs. On and on.

Well, I 'am probably lucky, in that I live on the East Coast, in a fairly diverse neighborhood. So there are a lot of packages coming from Overseas, and a couple of home businesses on the block.
USPS is by no means, even close to being the best, but I guess for the price, the service isn't too terrible.
I'd have to give the best, at least for me, to FedEx. If it's coming from across the country or Overseas.
For state to state, UPS is always on time, get my Vitamins and Protein delivered by them, always on time, and sometimes early.
