You need to see a doctor........ I'm not suggesting this, and I don't even know that its true, but I have heard of guys buying antibiotics that are used for fish tanks because apparently its the same drug ( Keflex ) that Doctors would normally prescribe.

My advice is go to a Doctor, make up some shit like you sat on a piece of rusted metal etc etc....... Don't tell them what you really did, reason being it will be on your health records that you use illegal drugs and that will be a factor if you want health or life insurance down the road.

Excellent advice! It's also the right advice. I'll just add, DO NOT take antibiotics unless a doctor says you really need them. People needlessly taking antibiotics is the reason we now have antibiotic resistant bacteria and it's a serious public health problem. People need to start thinking about the greater good.

There's these Minute clinics by me, they're in a local drug store chain. They have a nurse practicianer on site. I've gone a few times for this and that, I'm w/o health coverage currently they don't rape you there. Believe me I only go to a doctor if something is really fucked up. This falls under that category. If you've got health ins. Go to the doctor ma' man.

thanks for the replies guys. Im fully aware of the need to use antibiotics only when necessary. I have personally used fish amoxicillin for dental issues (worked fantastic). Currently i have no insurance, otherwise id be making an appt. yesterday at work, coincidentally, i got stabbed by a sharp wire, it might be getting infected, the boss told me to keep my eye on it.

i dont recommend it but i know people who have used fish antibiotics cause they had no money for a doc and it worked

Fish Mox - Amoxicillin

I have several bottles of different animal antibiotics on hand. The are refigeratred for long term storage. When opened an the capsules examined, they look the exact same and are the exact same dose as the HG scripted one.

If you got hurt at work then the workmans comp insurance they are supposed to pay into takes care of it. Even Mcdonalds has workmans comp. Nothing comes out of your pocket. If you reported it to your supervisor they have to document.

It might cost you 50- 80 to go to the doc w/o ins. I don't think a script for antibiotics will be very much, can't remember what I paid

Jack is right. A walk in doc is 50 bucks and get the generic keflex. I had an infection in my calf and 500mg twice a day cleared it up in 4 days. Get it now before its too late! I also used Bactroban cream as well.

Im with these guys go to the Doc.
For $50.00 co-pay they will write a script for kflex.
Tell the pharmacy to give u generic.
At walmart it will cost u $4.00.

Fella go see a doc. No insurance, no problem, that's why ED's are used by people in your shoes and most ED DOCs could care less, since we are salaried!

However if you should misdiagnose a simple abscess which then become complicated by necrotizing fascitis (the "flesh eating bacteria") your next visit may be your last.

Moreover if this really is an environmental wound many of the involved bacteria have developed resistance to first generation Cephalosporins and PCN derivative ABXs. When was your last tetanus booster, ya want "lock jaw".
