Not really. The powder will stick to the sides of the jar while turning and I just tap the end of it, while still turning, and it falls right back into the rest of the mix. I do pick the tumbler up, right before I remove the mix, and move the mix from side to side by tilting the tumbler from side to side. This is just to better ensure an even mix. Then I rinse out the residue and let it dry for next use
Edit: You can cut the sticks and hot glue them in place but I haven’t had any trouble from them being taped. Even though they hang a little loose now. They still work just fine.
