I remember that though, you said you would follow that guy around because he called out MW and NOPHAT as being sources - even though they are blatantly obvious. That guy didn't deserve to be shitted on like that so a few guys stepped in to say that MW is extremely obvious in his sourcing.

the condensing of information is great, esp when there's pages and pages of info to go through.

i dont have a particular problem with more aggressive attacks on sources, but we're seeing more and more name calling/personal attacks/attacks on character/"motives" on members. it's not "touchy, feely crap" that we ask to cut that bullshit out, it doesn't help the community at all. look at the gentech thread, it really devolved into cbs/jim vs Sworder/doc, completely off topic. then millard comes in and tells BOTH cbs and doc to calm down and cbs ragequits.

What's also frustrating is that new users can't have any good input about a source. if they do, they are automatically deemed a shill, or have motives. only wkm can contribute in a positive way to a source. that's also bullshit. that's just discouraging new members to post out of fear.

I know there's this sentiment that "this isnt a source board", but it's not in the rules, so it seems that we have a few members who are trying to push the board in a way that's very anti-source, it's uncensored but censored by a group of people trying to control the flow of sources. not the right way to go about it IMO, but it is an uncensored board so people can do whatever they want

I think I know who you are referring to here. I don't think anything with regard to that source is being swept under the rug. I am aware of the issues people have had with that source just by reading the open board, so I don't think guys are holding back.

I can't be everywhere at once and the amount of guys doing this gets lesser and lesser as time goes by. I don't really know much about that source outside of what has been posted on the open board, or even who the rep was, until just now.

Maybe I have a little more faith in some of the guys here, idk, but I don't think the people using that source would ever hold back or sweep problems under the rug. They would be the first to warn others should problems arise.

Also tubesox, if you want to call out any particular person feel free to do so. This place is uncensored. To tiptoe around it and speak in generalities just looks weak. There are a few threads about the Src swept under the rug he speaks of. He needs to put the bottle down and go to bed. Giving up a name is huge no, no in my book. Drunk or not. Complete irresponsible bullshit.
