Bicep width.

It has been a little over 30 days of doing this program. Just measured my arms and they are 17 and 3/4 inches. I know it is not big but when I started the only measured 16 inches. Before I got hurt and could not lift my arms were 19 inches so I am working my way back. I only use 10lbs and do 70 reps each set.once I can get 100 reps each set I will jump up to 12lbs.

Holy shit. You 1.75" back in 30 days?! That's amazing, nice work!!

A bit late to the party but I have heard of a similar approach of doing bodyweight calf raises 500 reps a day, a person on bb.com long ago posted his progress of about 2" in 3 months or something, looks interesting cheers for linking.

I am wondering why rich pianas concentrates on the outside head/brachialis in his video with hammer curls. Is that what he thinks most people are lacking in their biceps training? He is probably right.

Speaking of unconventional arm training, has anyone ever seen/tried this? There were a few threads a ways back with people doing it and adding over an inch-- most argued it was literally just swollen and would go away in a few days. I forget what the ending outcomes were. I'm tempted to try it one day in the middle of a huge bulking cycle for fun.

That's a different variation of what I've seen but yea it's been around forever. I remember first seeing it in MuscleMag as a teenager.

There's a lot of naysayers but I'd like to see for myself. In my head I think it's possible, I mean you're shocking the shit out of the muscle!

I'll give it a go next cycle.

Thats like me at the gym. Ill look swole as shit then come home and look deflated. Ill have to man up now. My arms are the least aesthetic part of my body, I can never get that bicep peak.
You're my brother from another mother. My delts are far too big in comparison and make my bi's look tiny...

Im hitting the bis at least twice a week and finally seeing a difference. I think it boils down to genetics and overall arm length. And like you said, relation to other muscles can really hinder overall appreance.

I am cursed with long arms. I'm 6'1", my dad is 6'5", I somehow got his fucked up arm length. Alien-like.

I train them every 4 days. 1 day is high volume, lee priest style pyramids and shit. The other day is super heavy, low reps. It does work for me. But, I can pick up a fucking Snickers bar and my delts grow.

I simply love being in gym, so it's not that too far out of the question for me. Sounds fun lol.

17 3/4" are still pretty big. 19 are massive

Do you guys do this even after training arms that day? I have a dedicated arms day right now... Skip it that night or no?

Edit: nevermind. I just rewatched the piana video. I'm going to assume his answer would be yes you little fucking pussy.

You have found your answer. Dude goes to any lengths, no fucking excuses and his body is the proof. I love the video where he talks about how sick and tired he is when people ask him how to get bigger. Here is a another outside the box idea for making gains a about flexing

Thought about this damn thread while training back and bi's today. I was doing preacher curls and started wondering how many people really squeeze at the top of a curl? Sometimes my effort lacks. Today, ever exercise, set, rep I got a good pinching squeeze at the top. Wow, the fucking burn and pump was insane!

I think people including myself forget that weightlifting, especially for bodybuilding types, is not just lifting the weight. You got feel it over the whole movement. If you are powerlifting or doing Olympic Lifts, than yeah, just lift the fucking weight. But if your are trying to shape and strengthen the muscle(s) you got engage your mind more, and feel the movement.

Strange epiphany today. A good one, but weird how this thread and all that entered my head. lol.

Try something new, I think you'll dig this-

Lately I've been going to failure on my biceps. I'll stick the pin, or grab some DB's, whatever, at some random ass weight and go until I cant go anymore. That might be 30 reps, that might be 3. Do 6 or 7 sets of that, wait until the pump monster rears his head! You will be SHOCKED!

yesterday after the preacher curls, I supersetted alternate dumbbell curls with hammers, 15 to 20 reps per the last three sets. Smoked them. Will not be able to straighten my arms tomorrow and I am supposed to go for a long canoe trip!
