Recently my parents read a book about hrt by Suzanne Somers about HRT. In the book I am told she basically says that HRT needs to be done utilizing bio-identical hormones to be truly effective.
This is the first I have heard about anything like this as I have always thought synthetically derived test is the same in our bodies as natural test, aren't they the same on the molecular level? If not I wonder what this approach would suggest using?
Can anyone clear this up for me, I'm not at all convinced this is the case and I like to understand things.
Doctor Swale, if you run across this and could respond I would appreciate your wisdom. My mother set up an appointment with Dr. Smith but canceled it because she was told she does not practice bio-identical HRT. I'd like to know if you see any truth to this line of thinking as this is the first I have heard about it.
