Lets hope the EU is not ruining them all. And yes, Signal is way better than TG. But TG Groups are just better if you want to reach many people.

TG groups are a curse to all illegal activity.
It's almost like chatting om ig, no Idea how it got so popular. Outside of Meta doesn't mean safe, it's just another app they can access without much trouble.

They keep data for less time though which is great but they still keep it.

the man pavel durov who made it stood up to the russian government which ended up seizing his first project vk.

he then made telegram to be untouchable even if government wanna seize it, block it they can't.

pretty sure he is arrested now and have no leave order in france and still isn't giving up telegram to the authorities.

they also tried to block it in russia, china, iran and some eu countries but ended up shutting down microsoft services in their own country

they should make a documentary about him. he is a solid guy, telegram is in safe hands. he is a hero for internet privacy.

I know of some busts in this country that used TG for coms which I used for a reference point, it seems TG might have had nothing to do with it.
Still a groupchat is the worst for this shit IMO. Any one of the members gets caught and all others with any interaction in it are somewhat exposed.
It's just more public that I like my illegal conversations to be, this might just be personal preference though.

no telegram has always refused to coperate with authorities

the only time they did was now when he was arrested in france, and the only thing they complied with was removing hamas from telegram.

they cant do anything more against him and there was alot of protests and negative views on france for this.

even russia who punished him is now demanding him back from france its funny how it played out.
