Blood pressure monitor recommendations?

Take it to your doctor and ask the nurse to check your blood pressure with one arm while you use yours with the other arm. My Omran BP562 (wrist) was right on with the nurse's reading.
Normally both arms don´t measure the same, at least in my case...it doesn¨t mean they are too far apart one from the other...Me, as reference, always do it with the same arm, so I know how far up or down I am easier...

I´m not saying my method is scientific, just describing what i do...

Don't you think you need a bigger cuff? Cuffs that are too small give false high readings.
I do believe so. I brought it up to my doctor that my readings are pretty consistently higher than his. He said I probably do need a larger cuff but to continue to track it anyway. He said it would be a better idea to get a larger cuff but if it stays pretty consistent, it's probably under control alright and to continue to track it until I pick up a larger cuff to go with it. For what it's worth, he originally wanted me to buy a wrist meter but my insurance covered this one so I went with it.

I sometimes try to squeeze my arm into those drug store machines where you sit down and stuff your arm into the hole . . . LOL! I have given up now. It is pretty comical seeing me try to cram my arm in there.

You'd think they would be bigger with how obese America is today.

Yah I did, I got one with a standard large cuff though that is working great. It said it went up to 16.3" in diameter, but it definitely goes larger and works just fine. Been taking BP pretty much daily, still hanging around the 118/66 mark even being on blast. I have been playing around with it, taking BP after exercise like cardio or lifting, taking it after eating, taking it after a stressful work call, taking it after certain substances have been ingested. It's been an interesting experiment.

One thing I've learned is that work seems to negatively imact my BP more than 500 test/350 npp/40 mg anavar does LOL. Guess I just need to stop working ;)

That's good to know about your wrist unit. I was seeing all kinds of crazy anecdotes and warnings from different medical organizations and whatnot to be careful with them as they often seem to read too high.

Do you mean "Omron BP 652? I am not seeing a 562. I see Omron 652 7 series BP monitor which is pretty pricey--is that the one you have?

118/66 on cycle is great!

Yes, 652, sorry for the typo

Anyone else have a bp monitor that'll fit 19.5 inch arms? I can't find anything and wrist monitors always read way high on me
