Bloods vs Chemical Substance test

I wasn't sure where to post this topic so I've put it in general.

I see a lot of guys preferring blood tests over proper lab tests to find out if their gear is real or fake but it doesn't make sense to me. Blood tests only show hormone level fluctuations and not the actual presence of certain drugs so how can they be used to assess if gear is real or fake and dosed accurately?

A blood test should only be used for health markers...... not to decide if gear is real or fake IMO.
They both cost about the same price so surely the chemical lab test is the best option?

As far as I know, the quality of the drug can only be checked by a special chromoanalysis for the composition and how much of the active ingredient.
