Bloodwork

I went to my PCP and asked to be tested to see if I qualify for TRT. I was hoping they would do proper testing, and maybe start this way then go off on my own you see if it's worthwhile.

I just got the results back, and they've only tested for free and total test. Is that even enough to consider? They didn't bother doing a full hormone panel test. If my total test was low what would've been their next step.

Should I just retake the results elsewhere? If so, any recommendations on a place I can get it done online so I don't go through this again?

What was your total test levels? I could be wrong, but to determine if your test is low I don't think you'd need anything other than test levels.
My free test was 59 pg/ml and total test 326 ng/dl. I guess I'm not sure why they would split it, but I guess it saves the need for extra testing.

I tried looking for a post for what testing I need, couldn't find one. If I were to order online, is there a resource that I could use as a reference to add to the two results?

Personally, I would want my levels higher

I use marek. You build your own panel, and they have some pre built ones as well.

How old are you?

If you hit up an online clinic like Marek, its nearly effortless to get a script. They'll even prescribe if your bloodwork is good if you say you're going to order from illegal sources instead.

I've heard that many endocrinologists can be hit or miss, I would save the hassle and just use a clinic, I don't think most people taking trt have their insurance cover it anyway so why go through a doctor in person?

I'll check them out. Thanks. I'm 37, I knew something was up and suspected my levels were low. Between age and other factors in general I wanted to get tested. I'm looking around 1000 total test based on what I've seen online for TRT. Just enough to boost it, but not have to worry about a lot of side effects. I'm not looking to get jacked. Surprisingly, even with my low number, I'm a decent size with 13% BF.

The reason I went with my doctor, because it's the VA. They'll prescribe it is low enough. I believe what they consider low is <~275. So I don't qualify. I'll check with Marek before proceeding.
