Boiling mex gear?

I have heard alot about boiling gear to free it of bacteria.Especially mex gear.I'm wondering how do you go about doing it correctly and not fucking your gear up.Thanks in advance of any help on the subject.

Actually, its the other way around. People boil it to take out BA to lessen pain, but the BA is what kjeeps it sterile, so if it has a high BA content it isnt dirty........nothing could live in that much BA.

WIth that said, I have never heard of anyone with abcesses from Mex gear....only UG lab gear.

That is correct....I have boiled underground gear just to get rid of some of the excess ba...however, I think that boiling or heating the gear destroyed some of its potency.

I'm not saying don't boil it but neither myself or any of my friends have ever run inot the problems that many have been reporting about mex gear (knock on wood). I would have to suggest not boiling it and then you have a problem. I would also be curious to see how many of the people who report infections, etc., actually take the time and prepare the site with alcohol and things like this.

Thanks bro for clearing that up.I've wondered about that for a while. What you said about the ug gear makes perfect since also.Cause people would want to make the shots less painful by putting less BA,but in actuality taking more risk on a really painfull abcess.Thanks.
