Update- Bonds tonight-- 4-4 , 2 homeruns, 2 singles, 6 RBIs

BTW--link didnt work

Barry Bonds is the best player I have ever seen. The gap between him and Pujols/Rolen/Arod etc......is so wide, you could drive a semi through it.

KTCK and Thick, ya'll are entitled to yall's opinion. Silverback and I are entitled to ours.

The reason bonds gets walked so much is because Moe, Larry and Curly follow him in the order. Like I said, Bonds is a pretty good player- probably one of the top 50 players in the game today. But if you have a bunch of clowns after him in the order it makes sense to walk him.

However for those NL managers that are Meso members I have a request. Instead of walking bonds next time, continuously bean him.

Have a nice day

Are you serious??? That doesnt even matter-----BONDS DOESNT HAVE ENOUGH OFFICIAL AT BATS TO HIT 100 RBIS EVERY YEAR---- He will this year though--

Just imagine if they pitched to Bonds as many times as they pitch to your boyfriend Pujols-- He would hit 70+ home runs and 150+ RBIs

How can a guy who is about to break the all-time home run record be below average, and he doesnt just swing at every pitch, his avg. is not below .300 like many home run hitters, --- I think you people are letting the fact you dont like Bonds blind you to his greatness--
SB, that's exactly what it is! The guy has one several MVP's(3 or 4) and about to add another one. You don't have to like him, you DO NOT know him. I'm pretty sure if you found out how Arod, Pujols, Sosa, or Jeter REALLY were, you'd hate them, too. When I watch baseball I don't want to see personality, I want to see performance!!! I REALLY don't care if he's a good guy or not. There's a bunch of good guys in the farm leagues... :D

Silverback, you are blinded by his last 3 years. Bonds has had 3 of the best hitting years in baseball that we have seen. You have to judge him over his whole career though. Before 2001 he was a great player. Probably top 10 of this generation. Now he has 3 big years and he is all of a sudden the best ever?? Give me a break. Hell that would be like judging roger maris by his one 61 homerun season.
Also, you keep knocking Pujols. Pujols isnt my favorite but he is so far ahead of bonds in terms of what barry did at pujols' age that it isn't even funny. If he can be fortunate enough to stay healthy and not get caught with the GH tests etc than he will shatter barry's shit. With this anti AAS craze going on it will be tough. Bonds is going to get out of the game just in time for stricter testing. Please start judging bonds over his career and not the last 3 years. He is great. Just not the best ever

Thick, Sportscenter last night showed Bonds's stats from 2000-present. Since 2000 (so in the past 4.75 seasons) he has 249 home runs. Do the math. That equals 52 home runs per year over the last 4.75 years. That is quite possibly the best ever in the history of baseball.

Also Thick, it is extremely unfair to compare Bonds to Pujols. Look at Pujols's supporting cast..........Jim Edmonds, Rolen, Renteria..........teams can't walk Pujols because the Cardinals' lineup is so stacked. Bonds has nothing, nothing. Replace Pujols with Bonds, and Barry has 46-50 home runs right now this season.

Exactly--- Imagine that lineup Renteria, Bonds, Edmonds,--- That would be sick and Bonds stats would be more staggering than they are now---

Also, Bonds has always been a good hitter, and excellent fielder and baserunner(those has slowed as his weight has increased)
He is 1 of only 3 players to be in the 40/40 club--

52/ year for the last 4 seasons still brings up the point that you guys are obsessed with his last few great years. Babe ruth played less games/season that they do now and used sponge balls. Still, i dont like comparing past generations b/c of all sorts of differences. As for Pujols, he hasnt been protected his whole career. WRT bonds, before you keep up this best ever bullshit, we need to compare what he did his first 10 years as well. There are several guys destroying what bonds did his first 10 years. This will allow them the opportunity to surpass what he is doing now.
The only thing Bonds has going for him is the anti steroid frenzy going on. He is reaching retirement age before higher testing standards come into effect. I am sure they will all still use but maybe there will be suspensions etc. Only time will tell in this regard.

Lemme give you some history on the "Babe". Anyone know why right field at yankee stadium is so low ? I watched this cool show on espn a few months back and they were talking about this particluraly peculiar portion of Yankee stadium . What is a ground rule double now used to be a HR when "babe" played there. Thats why yankee stadium was modified when Ruth got there. So many of that fatass alchy's HR's werent actually HR's its amazing. His stats are padded like no other player in the era.

Bonds since the modern era of baseball is the most feared, most dominiating hitter in the game. Everyone know that sauce after awhile will be your undoing, look at Giambi now...His life of recklessness has finally caught up to him.

AROD is better al-around that is why Barry in in the outfield. Plus give AROD few more years (he's still young you know) and he will be considered the best ever.

I f*ing hate Bonds. He's a prick, and the Giants f*ing suck (Go Dodgers!!!).

Oh yeah, the Ducks are going to do some damage in Oklahoma. The Sooners are on their way down, and the Ducks are going to be there to help push.

yeah quasi, babe played all of his games in Yankee stadium. Give me a fucking break. Funny how he hit more homeruns than other teams combined. Did they raise the wall for every at bat until he came up? I am still laughing. Try picturing what a juiced up BABE RUTH would be able to do. Giambi went to shit. GH has kept bonds together.

No he didnt play all of his games in NY, but he hit the majority of his dingers in NY. They of course didnt raise the wall...they lowered it when he got there though...Left handed hitter, right field swing away. I will see if i can find the story for you along with a breakdown of hr's per season in Beantown and NY.

Thats right El, the Ducks are coming....

That is interesting, I had never heard that--- I have never really been a Ruth fan--mainly because I wasnt even a thought in my great-grandparents heads!!!

The game has changed, so for all the morons(not you quasi) who try to compare the current guys with the old timers---It doesnt work--

peace
