I even isolated the vials - at least I think. I bought some amazon KS-tek vials to compare, they have the same particulate as the medlabsupply.

3 vials with BB, Distilled water, and MCT are Amazon, 3 are med lab for comparison.

All 6 have "particles."

What are the odds that both med lab spec vials and KS-Tek amazon have dust in them? Especially since medlab says they pass particle 788 bla bla.

Based on my video above, do you think those particulates are a problem at all? Could it be that both the Amazon viles and medLab spec have dust?

Heres a pic of the brew from the video. Can't even tell if you just hold it up to a normal light.

I'm at the point where if I filter it again tomorrow with a PVDF hydrophobic and it comes out the same I might just pin the shit.

I fucking hate to do that, my brain screams don't pin it if it isn't completely clear but idk what else to do. I've tried everything I know except a different filter.

Try a third brand of vials?

I really don't see any other vials being any better than medlabsupply sterile SPEC, the Amazon KS-Tek weren't any better.
 
I use the Amazon vials for my hcg and there's nothing in mine. I just double checked. Did you buy yours sealed or open to be capped? I buy mine sealed as I only buy for personal use.

I bought sealed sterile KS-Tek Amazon and sealed Sterile Spec vials from MedLab.

Absolutely, do you have any guesses as to whats going on with the particulates above given the previous information given on what I've tested?

Do you think those particulates are even a problem? I don't think 99.9 percent of people get a flashlight, set their vial on it, and use an incredible camera zoom or a jewelers loop to look.

Thats odd, I too run my vials through a blacklight when refiltering and never seen this. Try adding in bacwater into one of those sterile vials and see what happens.
 
I added 10ml of hospira bac water to a medlab sterile vial and I can clearly see what looks like dust (or something) when using a flashlight and swirling at the right angle.

Since everything that I put into the Amazon vials or the Medlab vials has dust/particulates, do you think that both vials just have dust?

(The amazon ones wouldn't surprise me that much, but medlab would since they state they conform with usp 788 particles etc.)

You either broke the filter or you have contaminated vials/filters. Try a new combo with different filter/vial supplier

I used Ultra Spec before, I guess i'll go ahead and pull the trigger on some ALK vials as well to compare.

I did notice that USP 788 particulate standards allows up to 6000 particles at 10 um size and yo to 600 at 25 um size. The Human Eye with perfect backlighting can see 5-25 UM depending on how good your eyes are.

Could it be I'm seeing what is "allowable" in the vials? Even the BAC Water I put into the spec vials had the "dust".

Check the video out on the first page, you can see the oil moving with some form of particulate.

The thing is, every vial I have looked at even stuff I didn't brew has this same look to the oil.

I have looked at over 5 different vials - all different brands/types of vials from throughout the years and all have this.

I thought it may have been the filters as well. But, I don't think its possible at all with over 5 previous kinds of vials and 2 different brands/types of filters. I have tried PVDF and PTFE filters, both had the same result.

I also tested some unused sterile vials with bacteriostatic water from Hospira and saw the same particulates.

To be honest, I just don't think most people wipe their vials completely clean with a rag and then light it up at the perfect angle to see if there is any "dust" that appears under certain lighting circumstances within the oil only. Without a bright ass light and magnification or a jewlers loop, those particulates are almost impossible to see with the naked eye.

My ALK vials come in today, if there are still the same particulates with BAC water in those then it is a mystery that will remain for me as I've tried different vials, filters, etc.

I don't know if its a problem, but I doubt it as all old vials had a similar look including stuff not brewed by me.

I believe alconox is used if you would be cleaning the vials and sterilizing them yourself. I purchased SPEC vials which are Sterile and Clean. The KS-TEK are supposed to be as well.

Yep, I just got my ALK vials in and put hospira BAC water in it straight. Has the same dust look I'm referring to.

At this point, i've tried 3 different vial brands recently and looked at 5 different vial types - all sterile overall. All had what I am referring to.

I've tried 3 different filters with no different result. I've tried BAC water with no filter either.

So, at this point I have nothing left to test and will assume its normal since all gear I've looked at has this. The only way to see it in any vial is to clean the outside very well, put directly ontop of a flashlight, and look with a jewelers loop or magnification while attempting to not burn your cornea out. LMAO
