Brewing NPP without BB

For family member who can’t get their deca prescription anymore, for their cachexia and anemia @ 75mg per week. The pharmacy here refuses to import it anymore and also the cost is unreasonable anyways. The doctors want to put them on prednisone instead but that sounds like a band aid solution as deca gives such good quality of life.

Luckily I have NPP powder in freezer. I have BA but no BB, want to brew in coconut MCT. Does anyone know what concentration will hold with 0.9% BA. Even 50mg/ml would be fine. They can do daily subq injections for such a small dose.

Getting BB in would take some time and could be a problem with customs. Would be great if MCT + BA works.

Jim's! Have never tried it but I dnt think it would be possible. Maybe at 25mg/ml but that's crazy low for most ppl. Npp isnt the fastest to disolve and melt point isnt particularly low either...

Mct has very high solubility and at that dose with a little heat im sure that would hold fine

Do you have access to Miglyol?? That has many different uses so you could check into that. When I first used that in my brews back in college i was pretty surprised by it. Because once I heard about Ethyl Oleate and awful smelling guiacol and their dangers I found miglyol. Not to mention in my opinion when I used a .1 micron the compounds I experimented with seemed to hold slightly better than usual. Good luck

That’s good to hear, I’ll give it a try. I have a feeling it might be ok @ 50mg/ml.

You used a .1 micron filter? Such a thing exists? I’ll look into miglyol out of interest anyways, it’s something I investigated before but never got around to trying. It holds higher concentration brews? Something I’ll look into for my own use.

i'm an EO fanboi. It and MCT are my favorites.
Tolerance is user dependent, as is the case with all carrier oils.

Someone around here recently said that prior to brewing with a new oil, they filter and then inject a ml of just the oil to access tolerance. Not a bad idea, especially if you plan to cook up a large batch with an oil you're not familiar with.
