Shopkeeper's 'sideline in drugs'

[SIZE=-1]Customs officers intercepted large quantities of three different types of Class C drugs addressed to 43-year-old Amjid Hussain's A to Z store. [...][/SIZE]

[SIZE=-1]Catherine Richards, prosecuting, said in early 2008 a customs officer inspected one of the padded envelopes posted in Pakistan and found drugs. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=-1]The package was addressed to a Mr Jarvid but the address was the A to Z store, also known as Premier newsagents. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=-1]During the following 16 days seven more bags were intercepted by customs. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=-1]They contained, in total, 5,280 diazepam tablets, 368 capsules of testosterone and 1,680 tablets of mesterolone. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=-1]Police raided the store and found Mr Hussain with a further 1,830 diazepam tablets, 320 mesterolone tablets and 130 doses of testosterone. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=-1]The jury heard from Sgt Sian Griffiths, who said the drugs had a street value of up to 10,560. [/SIZE]
