Hey Meso Community,
Been lurking for a while and finally signed up recently to officially join the community.About Me:
41-year-old male. I’m a civil engineer by trade, but my life revolves around coaching sports for my kids—primarily football and wrestling. I was an All-American wrestler in college and also played football at a high level before choosing to wrestle on scholarship. I’ve always trained consistently and stayed active, but the last five years have been tough with injuries and my body breaking down.I’m currently recovering from a triple arthrodesis surgery (joint fusions and lots of hardware) in my left foot. This surgery was a revision of my initial surgery in 2023, where a bone graft in my calcaneocuboid joint didn’t fuse. I ended up coaching the entire fall football season on a broken foot, which led to a second surgery in early December. Right now, I’m still in a walking boot for a couple more weeks.
The foot issues were ultimately a combination of high mileage and bad genetics, requiring a rebuild. With the long recovery process and weight gain over the last year, I hit a rough mental patch, drank a little more than I should have, and gave up for a bit.
The Turning Point:
After my surgery in December, I flipped the switch and fully committed to getting healthy, lean, and fit. I’ve been hammering my diet and training since mid-January (when my cast came off) and have made solid progress so far—down 10 lbs while maintaining/building muscle and strength.During my downtime, I researched recovery protocols, peptides, and enhancements to support this next chapter. I’ve never previously used any peptides or PEDs until this past January. Below is where I’m at right now. I've ready to run this lifestyle long term for the second half of my life.
Current Stack:
- TRT (Started January): 200 mg/week (split into Monday morning and Thursday evening injections). My pre-TRT total testosterone was 421 ng/dL. I’ll do updated bloodwork in the next month or two to track progress. Overall feeling pretty good on this a month in.
- Retatrutide: Currently 2 mg/week, coming up on 4 weeks in. Minimal sides aside from mild nausea after the first couple of doses. Results seem promising so far.
- BPC-157 + TB-500: 500 mcg twice daily to assist with surgery recovery and healing.
- CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin: 100 mcg of each twice daily (morning fasted and pre-bed for a little GH boost).
Plan of Attack / Goals:
- Primary Goal: Fat Loss + Muscle Retention
I’m aiming to get lean while keeping as much muscle mass as possible. I’m 6'0", currently 258 lbs, and would like to drop into the 220–230 lb range. I wrestled at 197 lbs in college at a very lean state, but I’ve built a good bit of muscle since then through steady lifting. 220–230 lbs would be a solid first goal. - Adding HGH
I’ve got 10 kits of HGH on order from the lobster. The plan is to start low and titrate up to 2–4 IU/day long term. I’m open to guidance on the best dosing and timing for my goals. - Overall Lifestyle Goal:
I want to excel as a father and coach, setting a strong example for my kids while staying physically and mentally sharp. - Add in a real cycle: Once established and weight loss goals and recovery are hit, dabble into something like a higher test and Primo cycle but thinking a good year or so out from trying something of that caliber.
Current Limitations:
- In a walking boot for a couple more weeks. After that, I’ll begin a lengthy rehab process to regain foot and ankle mobility.
- Limited lower-body training right now—just leg extensions and light deadlift-type movements.
- Cardio is restricted, but I’m managing with bike work, light rowing, and kettlebell swings.
- Upper body training has been strong, and I’ve been pushing myself hard there.
Closing Thoughts:
That’s my ramble! I’m here to level up and dominate this next phase of life. I’d love to hear any input, guidance, or constructive criticism you have. The knowledge in this community has been a huge help in my journey so far, and I look forward to learning more and contributing in the future.Cheers, and thanks in advance!
