Buchner filter kit

hi all,

Can anyone advise me on how the filter on these is made up? Is it reusable and how do you sterilise it? On the ones I've seen there doesn't seem to be an option on micron pore size like .22??

Any help would be appreciated.

Most buchner filter papers arent measured in micron pore sizes. Most are "qualitative" in grades 1-10. However, here are some .22 PP filter papers, they are rare but they're out there.

Polypropylene Membrane Filters, 0.22 Micron, 90 mm, 25/Pk

When ordering separate filters be sure they are the same diameter as your buchner funnel.

The actual filter paper is def not reusable, use one per brew (you can even double up on paper for each brew for peace of mind). The buchner funnel and glass beaker are the reusable parts, you can sterilize in autoclave or oven after an alcohol bath.

Sorry to jump in late on this. I like the idea of the Büchner funnel filter system. My question would be how do you sterilize the filter paper before you use it?
