butterflies?

For my chest workout, I do dumpbell inclines, dumpbell declines, and flat bench butterflies. My chest is coming out fine but always looking for improvement.

The gym I workout at, does not have a butterfly machine so I do flat bench flies but I recently saw a guy doing incline dumpbell flies. My questions is, which is better? Incline flies or flat bench flies or maybe both??? Please let me know.....

Neither...I cut flys out of my routine over a year ago and have made excellent progress in my chest developement...other than a good stretch flys don't do much for you
 
i have always considered flyes as a filler exercise ... because just like after each set when you stretch that muscle group allows more blood flow the same as flyes, with that great stretch allows more flow .. imho.
 
Flies

IMO If flies work for you keep doing them until they stop working. I to like flies and do both flat and incline. I think inclines just hit the pec a little different. Try them if you do not like what they do for you the take them out of your workout.
 
Personally flies dont do much for me, I cut them out about 1 1/2 years ago and am making better gains. I do however add them in on rare ocations. But if they work for you keep at them.
 
I think they are firly woth less. The guys I have seen over the years that do them never seem to gain muc at all. Stick to the big movers and you will see more results over the years.
