THe green tea I am taking has 160mg of natural caffeine in a serving. Is the potency the same? I figure it is but I thought i would ask. I dont want to be pushing hundreds of mg's of caffeine in me without knowing it.

thanks

I thought all caffene was natural ... Why not alot of caffene? .. If you really want to know about GreenTea ask BrooklynJuice. He takes it every day and loves it. He knows alot about most of those natural foods. .. I was always worried about the Flouride in Green Tea but i don't think that is an issue now .. Even if it does have flouride,Green Tea as so many benefits that it may not even be harmful .. Kind of like the Eskimos eating bubber with Omega 3s

well I guess i didnt explain it well. I am going to start taking ephedrine and want to calculate how much caffeine I am going to take with it. Caffeine just effects me quite a bit and I dont want to take a 200mg caffeine pill if I am already taking 160mg in my green tea.

you sure as hell didn't explain it very well ;) ... I would just see how i felt and if i was too jumpy,i would lower the ephedrine. Yeah,i'm sure you figured that out but that's all i got. sorry man

asking brooklynjuice would be quite the feat, as he died late last year.

tea contains a little caffiene, but it contains a fair amount of a chemical cousin. this seems to be mediated by the theanine content of tea. in an extract, im not sure how muc if any theanine is in it.

160mg isnt alot. thats about 2 cups of drip coffee.

theanine is an amino acid only found in tea and a rare mushroom.

it is primarily a relaxant. thats why if you drink a bunch of tea, enough toget a kick, youll notice it isnt jittery like coffee. theanine is the primary reason.

its also the reason why some ppl swear that tea will put them to sleep.

it has a profound effect on your mind as well. it relieves stress and generally tilts your mood towards positive.

the flouride thing is a myth.

But is it really? i would like to believe you as you seem to know your shit about tea ... I am refering to Green Tea when i say flouride, too. .. Well maybe ALL tea since SOMETIMES .. not much recently .. but sometimes i drink regular tea for the anti-oxident effects .. I could never understand how my wife could drink a cup of tea before bed and get to sleep .. Well now i do thanks ..

dont get me wrong, if theres alot of it in the soil it might transfer to the leaves. but outside of that, i wouldnt worry about it.

you can taste it id imagine.
