Calfs questions

I need a good calf workout. I think I reached a plateau on my calfs. Currently my calfs are
18 1/2 ", I liked to get them up around 19-19 1/2. Personally, I think calfs are genetics either you have them or you don't. Any recommendations?
 
What do you currently do for your calves? And how frequent?

Change up the frequency, change the rep range. Many people's calves respond to higher rep ranges for hypertrophy.

Also is diet in check? Enough cals/protein?

A killer for the calves = Multiple Hill runs (even add a weighted back pack ;)
 
Mine are only 18 and I have the best calfs in the gym by far.Why don't you tell us!

Wow, I guess I'll take that last line as a compliment (LOL). I don't know!!!! I played running back in college and was a collegiate sprinter (but that was a long time ago), and presently, my calfs have to support 255lbs on them constantly.

BTW, I suspect you calfs at 18" are probably alot more shredded than mine

Lately its been twice a week. I do them when I do my arms, and I usually do a calf workout on the days when I do cardio only

Standing calf raises 3 X 15 reps and seated calf raises 3 X 8-10 reps heavy weight. I alternate with donkey raises or one legged standing calf raises.
 
My calf's suck......

But here is the new workout I got.

Seated calf raise, 5 sets of 30 reps, full range of motion, all the way down, and all the way up, and go slow. They are starting to work, I'm getting something back there.

Yeah they are a bit ripped and I'm only 5'7 @ 200lbs at the moment.Most people think I'm around 220-230.I have veins that look like a trees root system,which makes me look even bigger,so people just stear really.Lol I shold start charging for the freak show.
I like higher reps 16-30 standing and seated.But its like you say calves are very genetic, you either have good calfs or you don't.Just like a big chest.
