can 12 days of prednisone cause permanan

Bro, Swale wants you to provide him with further information, e.g., dosage per day, strength of medication and why you are taking it. Give him something like this and you will get a response.

[ i took 30 mgs for 3 days,25mgs for 3 days,20 mgs for 3 days, and 15mgs for 3 days then i stopped. i was supposed to go to 10 mgs then 5 mgs but stopped early(12 days) opposed to doing the whole 18. i started feeling very weak and began to get extremely moody. not to mention the literatutre i read on prednisone completely spooked me.for example, increased fat distribution, which can be a permanant effect as well as muscle weakness and weakinging of the joints and bones as well as cataracts, diabetes, and heart disease. i did feel very weak 2 weeks after stopping and thought that it was a permanant side effect. incidentley,i was prescribed prednisone due to a bad sinus infection that took 3 different anti biotics to kick. my sinus was very inflamed.

You may have put yourself into a state of adrenal insufficiency, which would account for your symptoms. Did your doctor tell you to stop taking it? Using ANY prscription medication (and frequently OTC's as well) is VERY serious business. Yoiu need to go to medical school before making such decisions.

Yours is a good example of how the availability of medcial information can be bad for a patient. Lipodystrophy (fat redistribution) takes a long, long time to occur. So do all of the others.
